About this house rental
Come create beautiful memories in our completely remodeled and updated home on West Island. Step back in time where your worries are carried away as you bike along the island roads, walking to one of the five beaches, hiking the trails to secluded beaches, kayak Buzzards Bay or Nasketucket Bay, watch the beautiful sunsets or sit around a campfire. West Island is an undiscovered gem that is an hour drive from Boston without the hassle of the bridges or traffic of Cape Cod. Over half the island is State conservation land offering many trails and wildlife.
Our coastal island dream home is like a tiny slice of heaven. Sea Salt has a large cathedral ceiling open concept kitchen dining area with all brand new stainless steel appliances, living room with gas fireplace, 60 inch HDTV , WiFi, three bedrooms ,walk in rainfall shower, full sized washer and dryer ,all make up the inside of our home.
Relax on the back porch overlooking a lush landscaped partially fenced yard, grill local caught seafood on outside gas grill , enjoy dining under the stars in our sea shelled dining area, sit around a natural rock fire pit or let your cares wash away in an outside spa, complete with rainfall shower and an antique claw foot tub with hot and cold water. Once here you may never want to leave.
For your convenience we provide beach towels, beach chairs, cooler, reading books and some board games.
Within 4 miles you will find large supermarket chains, department stores and restaurants. There is a ferry located at both Fairhaven and New Bedford that can take you to Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket.

The ‘Sea Salt Cottage’ was the perfect spot for myself and two sisters to spend a few days visiting relatives and celebrating our Mom. The cottage was very well stocked, beautifully decorated, and had more than enough space for all of us. The surrounding area is really lovely and peaceful, the beaches, the local ice cream shop, all within walking distance. Communication with the owner was very smooth, she responded quickly to messages sent and also provided extensive information about the house and area. If…or should I say…when…we go back to visit, this would be the first place I would check for availability. The perfect “home base” for our long delayed visit from California. I would highly recommend.

the property is advertised as a bath and 1/2. a outdoor shower is not a 1/2 bath.

Hostess communication was amazing and the house itself is SO thoughtfully done. It is deceiving from the outside too in terms of how spacious and open the living area is into the kitchen. Every decoration has been very well thought through and the kitchen itself was incredibly stocked with any possible tool or cooking implement you could ever need!

Sea Salt Cottage is a place where all your worries melt away. The accommodations are more than comfortable and West Island is such a quaint area. The private beach is so peaceful. With a grocery store only 10 minutes away & the ferry terminal less than 20, the possibilities for staying in or heading out on adventures are endless. This was our third stay at Sea Salt and we hope to be back next year!
