DeSoto Beach Gardens

I had a wonderful stay at the DeSoto Beach Gardens. The unit itself was absolutely lovely—full of charm, comfortable touches, and thoughtful amenities. I especially appreciated having a fridge and microwave, which made the stay feel even more convenient and homey. The location is another standout. The walk to the beach was quick and easy, and it added a truly enchanting element to the entire trip. Being able to stroll over to the shoreline in just minutes made the experience feel peaceful and effortless. The staff deserves special recognition as well. Check‑in was smooth, friendly, and welcoming, and every interaction throughout my stay reflected genuine care and professionalism. I would absolutely recommend DeSoto Beach Gardens—especially the Gardens room—to anyone looking for a charming, relaxing, and well‑cared‑for place to stay near the beach. I’m already looking forward to returning.

Clean and friendly

I liked that the property was right on the beach and had free parking.

The one bedroom suite that we booked had been, for the most part updated. The part that we didn’t like was the sofa was extremely dirty and smelled bad which in turn made the whole unit smell. Also, the carpet in the bedroom desperately needed replacing and I’m sure it contributed to the smell as well. Another thing we didn’t like was that there were no windows in the bedroom and the living room had only two hexagonal porthole style windows with translucent panes that let in very little light. It’s not worth the price due to its limitations - no functional windows and dirty, smelly, furniture and carpet. My husband and I spent one night in it since we got in late and were very tired from traveling. When we brought it to the attention of the front desk, we were immediately moved to a different room with a balcony and a view of the ocean which salvaged our stay as we were there celebrating our anniversary. Staff & maintenance man, Thomas were extremely helpful & friendly! Location & beachfront access ‼️

Stench in room, no place to hang our clothing, dirty sheets, parking is minimal & not much room for automobiles to maneuver around getting in & out of parking structure. Seriously needs to update & modernize garden view bed & breakfast accommodations!
