About this farm stay rental
Higher Burrow Farm has just been completely renovated from top to bottom, and as it dates back to 1564 it is bursting with historic character whilst having the luxury and style akin to a boutique hotel giving you the best of both worlds. The property has a modern extension giving the home its heart with the open plan kitchen/diner which is perfect for celebration dinner parties. With great attention to detail, style and the heritage that has always been there you will be forever noticing the little things this stunning house has to offer.
Being located in Somerset, Higher Burrow Farm is situated in the beautiful English countryside; only being a few miles from the Somerset Levels you are surrounded by picture perfect villages, nature and even a local cider farm (Burrow Hill Cider) which is only a short walk from the house where they are very happy to let you try before you buy and tours can be arranged.
If all this exercise builds an appetite, then the local gastro pub the Lamb & Lion is the ideal antidote. The property is under the same ownership at the pub which means there are subsidised mini bus trips to the pub and you are also guaranteed a warm welcome upon arrival. There are also private dining areas for larger parties.

Beautiful grounds, which were adequately secure and safe for children and our dog.
Good, spacious kitchen/dining area, which accommodated us all.
Children's books in the loft bedroom particularly appreciated.
Generally comfortable and spacious, with a useful range of sitting rooms. Glad there were no white carpets!
In the heatwave, fans would have been appreciated in the loft rooms.
All contact with staff was exemplary.

We had the most wonderful weekend at Higher Burrow Farm celebrating a hen party, it was perfect for this occasion. Bedroom / bathroom ratio meant no one was waiting for showers, hot tubs were perfect for late afternoon chill time, garden is immaculate and the flowers are so pretty, very comfortable beds, open plan kitchen / dining was great for entertaining and the cider brewery a 10 minute walk away was the perfect activity. Highly recommend for celebrations!

Thanks so much, this place is beautiful. The house and the gardens are stunning. We had the best stay here for my friends Hen do. Everything was perfect, the area is beautiful and we visited the local cider farm. The house really did exceed our expectations, the beds are so comfortable too which is always a plus. If you’re thinking of booking, do it!

Stayed here for 5 nights. It’s a wonderful old house that is looked after clean and tidy. It’s old yet the facilities are modern. The rooms are fantastic and accommodated 15 of us. It’s a creaky house but wouldn’t expect anything else from it and made the stay everything we expected. The gardens are immaculate and the hot tubs are great with a fantastic view. BBQ is excellent and we used it constantly from breakfast to evening meals.
It’s a gem !
