The location for this place was far better than I anticipated. The alley it was in led straight into the main pedestrian street, directly opposite Palermo Cathedral. It was so easy to get everywhere. The rooms were good sizes, the shower was nice and hot. There were three small balconies,perfect to dry clothes on. There is a second toilet in the laundry which was handy with 3 guests. The apartment is up one set of stairs and the building felt very safe.
Only two things come to mind. The first we solved quickly- not much toilet paper was left for 3 people staying for 7 days. No problem, we bought more.
The only real problem was the rowdy neighbours. I don't know if it's one large family or a series of families but I guess because they don't have a back yard, the alley becomes their back yard. Kids and adults were shouting out to one another all day. I can understand a fair bit of Italian, and the shouting wasn't aggressive, but it was a lot. We were out almost every day so it wasn't a huge problem, but it wouldn't be very relaxing if you wanted to nap during the day.
