About this house rental
Situated in Durham, this charming house for $168 per night is a great choice for your next trip. New Construction with three Bed Rooms and fourth a loft with a day bed and Trundle all rooms have full bath. Only minutes from International Airport, (RDU), RTP, Duke UNC Chapel Hill, NCU, Downtown Raleigh, and minute away from well known hotels like Marriott courtyard, Residence Inn, Hilton double tree suites and many others also five minutes away from the South Point Mall and all resturants and minutes away to access the HWY 1-40, 54,55,540, 1-85 and several other Hwy’s. Total three fully furnished Bed Rooms out of which two Master Bed Rooms and a third Bed Room and fourth a Loft with a Day Bed and Trundle. ( total occupancy can be 8 or more...) Minimum 4 guest, additional guest will be charged $30/- each per day. Ground floor:( First floor) ...an open floor with living room furnished with leather Sofa (3 seater) and leather love seater, and leather recliner, fire place, large TV, spacious kitchen with all upgraded appliances like microwave, cooking range, large refrigerator with freezer separate cabinets, luxuary utensils all brand new, coffee and coffee makers (both K-cups and filter) cookers (rice,vegetables and meat) patio with charcoal grill, tons of cooking vessels, tea kettle and dinning area that accommodates eight dinners and breakfast area with granite counter top and more.... and a half bath. Second floor: one Master Bed Room, walk in closet, restroom with two washing area, closet and shower cabin with adjustable shower. (shampoo conditioner, liquid soap available), work station table, large TV bucket roof and wooden floor. Laundry Room with a top quality washer and dryer. (Washing detergent provided) Second Bed Room with work station table and walk in closet and full bath. Loft with a Day Bed and Trundle...large window with bench to sit and relax.( two persons can sleep in Loft). Third floor: one Master Bed Room with walk in closet, work station table, computer, large TV, bucket roof, large window with bench to sit and relax and full bath. The third floor is available when there is more than four guest. If less than five guest still need access to the third floor an additional one time charge of $70/- will be charged toward cleaning and setting of the third floor. Parking: two owners parking marked 1007 and other four parking available to park during day till 7:00pm Total: 3.5 baths Walking trails about 2-3 miles High speed Internet TV’s in Main Rooms ( 2large TVs ) Check in and check out ...contact host or use the entry code. Property is located in a quite, office park area clean and have access to walking trails, several restaurants, Piney wood park, tobacco trail and Duke gardens and hwy’s and much more.......

I have never written a bad review ever. I feel running a small business is tough enough and I subscribe to the old saying " if you have nothing nice to say ....", however my experience with this VRBO throws all that out the window. The owner will not give access information until an hour before check in. I guess that keeps people from checking in early and getting in the way of cleaning crews, understandable. But when you say you'll let me know the access code by 2pm Then let me know the access code by 2pm! I started calling the owner from the parking lot of this unit at 2PM until about 5PM. I'm sitting in a parked rental car with my family, and we have no where to go at this point. The owner is not returning calls or texts. By 5pm we are hungry and tired so I book a hotel room. At approx 6pm the owner calls and apologizes, he didnt have cell service. If you know a client is going to call around 2PM stay in a spot with cell service or give me the access code then go into a no cell zone. What the heck? I tell the owner that I booked a hotel as I had no way of knowing what was going on. He apologized and said I would be getting a full refund for my 2 day stay. All good right? He didnt refund me anything, I had to complain to VRBO after which the owner refunded only 74% of the amount I paid. I called VRBO to get the balance and initially they said ok it was obvious I deserved a full refund. 3 months later still waiting. No more VRBO or HA-RY71BK

Home is in a nice newer development/park type setting and very quiet. Within a few mins drive to shopping/groceries/etc. Host was very easy to communicate with enroute as our flighs were delayed and we didn't get in till almost midnight. The host was available via messaging the entire time and made sure we arrived and got in ok. Nicely furnished and decorated, with laundry on the 2nd fl outside the bedrooms so you don't have to carry clothes up & down the steps. Large Master Bath with huge shower. The townhome is a little older than brand new and some of the walls needed painting but otherwise well kept. The only thing we didn't like was the smaller 2nd fl bedroom has a small staircase going up to the 3rd floor, which is locked once you get up there.(Unless you have >4 guests). So you have a staircase at the end of your bed heading up to darkness, or if you have >4 guests, you have to walk through that 2nd fl bedroom to get to the 3rd fl bedroom. Otherwise we enjoyed staying in the home.

The location of this property was very convenient to food, shopping, family outings. The place was open concept downstairs which was nice. This is NOT a brand new property as listed. It has a bit of age to it. I did not rate it higher due to the fact it was as clean as going to a friends house or even my home. It was not deep cleaned and we spent the first 30 minutes wiping down surfaces that had food splatter as well a a pan in the oven that was left after use. Considerable dust and cob webs in places. It felt more like someone changed the sheets and picked up a bit before we showed up. Not horrible by any means but I would expect more from the housekeeping service’s considering how much patrons pay for house cleaning. Owner did offer us the use of an additional bedroom which we did not need, I would have rather had part of our fees refunded. Nice place overall but doubt if we will use again.

The place is nice and well located, but we had a series of small issues that result in an overall 3.5 rating.
Biggest issue is problems with the descriptions. The photos are accurate but description says 3 full and 1 half bathrooms. It also says 3 master bedrooms. That was important to us as 3 couples. But there are only 2 full bathrooms, so only one master. It also says the third bedroom has a queen but it actually has the trundle bed in the photos. Please make the listing accurate!
Pros: Modern, nice townhouse with easy parking. Very nice lower level with a single great room including very large kitchen (we did not use), diningroom, and livingroom. Very nice primary bedroom and bathroom. Good, convenient, quiet location. Good AC.
Cons: In addition to the listing errors noted above. Second bedroom rather small. Third bedroom tiny with no closet. No bath mat. One cockroach in kitchen. Weird Christmas wreath up in September.
Overall not bad, but not right for 6 adults, which is what we had -- and paid significantly extra for the 2 extra adults.

Everything was just as we expected. A very nice property. The only issue we had was the check out time, which is stated in the listing as 10:30. At 10:15 I received a phone call from the owner stating that his cleaning crew had been by twice and we had not vacated. He also sent a text stating that there would be additional charges if his cleaning crew had to come by again. I vacated the property by 10:30 as stated in the listing. Not a huge issue, but it was not appreciated.

I expected the property to comport with its online description. There were 2.5 bathrooms rather than the promised 3.5. The door to the loft bedroom was locked, thus inaccessible, forcing one of our 4 adults to stay elsewhere. The owner did not respond to loft access request which was disappointing. Luckily, the property was fairly clean, bright (lots of windows), and pleasant.

This is a terrific property in a great location. when we have stayed here in the past, the host has accommodated my request for a fragrance free space (fragrance allergy). This visit there was clearly a lot of fragrance in the home. I'm not sure what happened this time with communication but for most people this would be a wonderful choice for a place to stay.
