Havelock City Hostel, Colombo

I had a really good experience staying here, and overall everything was very nice and comfortable. From the moment I arrived, the reception was friendly and helpful, and the staff were very kind and supportive throughout my stay. They made me feel comfortable and welcomed, which I really appreciated. One of the best things about this place is the price. The price is very reasonable compared to the facilities and services they provide. I honestly feel that you get very good value for your money. The sleeping area was comfortable and clean, with bunk beds and an air-conditioned room, so it was a good place to relax and get proper rest. I was also happy with the facilities provided. I got a nice bed, a pillow, and a blanket, which made the sleeping area comfortable. They also provide an iron table and an iron, which is something you don't always find in a place at this price. There is also a washing machine available, which is very useful, especially for people staying for several days. A refrigerator is also available, which makes it very convenient to keep food and drinks. The dining area was also well arranged and had the necessary things such as spoons, cups, and other basic items. Everything was kept clean and organized. The toilet and bathroom were also nice, clean, and well maintained, which is very important when choosing a place to stay. Overall, I can say that everything was fine and I was very satisfied with my stay. The reception, staff, cleanliness, facilities, comfort, and especially the affordable price were all good. I really appreciated the fact that so many useful facilities were provided. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and budget-friendly place with good facilities. I had a pleasant experience and would be happy to stay here again.

One small thing to note is that food is not available for purchase at the property, so guests need to arrange their meals separately.

The property was clean, well located and decently maintained. The reception staff was friendly, helpful and polite.

The hostel is located in the same building as Alcohol and Drug Information center, therefore no guests are allowed to drink or smoke inside or anywhere close to the hostel. Secondly the security guard is rude and frequently misbehaves with guests if they go out or come late at night, despite the fact that there are no curfew timings for the hostel. Which is very disappointing.
