Experience the serene beauty of Guilford at our charming 3-bedroom cottage in the picturesque Mulberry Point area. It's just a two-minute walk from the shoreline, which has a free public beach with parking—and it's dog-friendly. It's a perfect retreat for nature lovers and beachgoers, offering both the tranquility of nature and the convenience of nearby attractions and amenities. Scenic Views and Natural Surroundings Our cottage features a large raised deck off the kitchen, providing beautiful views of a vibrant salt marsh and glimpses of the Long Island Sound during the fall and winter seasons. The deck is a birdwatcher's paradise, with frequent sightings of ospreys, cardinals, blue jays, hawks, playful chipmunks, bunnies, deer, opossums and other wildlife. A quiet, wooded trail adjacent to the house offers peaceful walks to the Tuttle's Point, Mulberry Point, and Indian Cove areas. Local Attractions and Convenience It's a 15-minute scenic walk or a 5-minute drive to Chaffinch Island Park, a local gem where you can relax by the water or enjoy a barbecue. Down the road is a trailhead to Westwoods for hiking; easy access to explore 39 miles of hiking trails. We are conveniently located just one mile from the historic Guilford Green, the Guilford Library, and various shops and restaurants. Additional nearby attractions include Branford, with its ferry service to the Thimble Islands, Stony Creek Brewery, galleries, seafood, local theater, and other dining options. We're 15 minutes to Madison, Hammonasset Beach, Chatfield Hollow State Park, and numerous hiking, kayaking, swimming, and dining spots. Comfortable and Well-Appointed Accommodations The mid-century house accommodates up to four guests across three bedrooms: one with a full/queen bed and half-bath, a second queen bedroom with desk, and a third with a single bed., desk, and Smart TV. Each bedroom has large closets, 100% cotton linens, duvets, and comfortable bedding. The main bathroom includes both a shower and a tub. Our sunlit living room boasts a rose granite wood-burning fireplace, an Eames lounge chair, fast 5G WiFi, Xfinity cable package, and an Amazon Echo for music. The kitchen is fully equipped with all necessary cooking essentials, but please note there is no dishwasher. Laundry facilities are conveniently located on the main floor. We have a charcoal grill and electric weber, off the side of the deck. The 700 sq. foot walkout basement offers a lightly furnished space with a 43" Smart TV, a bar, and access to an outdoor patio. Travel and Accessibility Our location is only a mile from Guilford Green and a minute’s drive to the Shoreline East train station, with connections to New Haven, New York City, and Boston. We welcome one well-behaved dog, making our cottage a great choice for pet owners.

We highly recommend this property. Check in was hassle free and property is beautiful! Gorgeous gardens and plants, lovely private deck with gate. Wonderfully stocked with just about anything you will need. Amy was very accommodating and very quick with responding. Would definitely stay here again!

Really loved this place! Perfect location, close to everything. Really enjoyed driving Route 1 and showing my wife and mother-in-law the shoreline towns. Lobster Landing did not disappoint, and having Bishops Orchard so close was perfect. Amy was so easy and professional to work with. Loved it!

The Birders Paradise was awesome! We chose it for the location, close to the beach and to Indian Cove where we had family staying. And the description was true about seeing and hearing many birds!! But this home was so comfortable, accommodating and well equipped that it deserves extra kudos! The beds were lovely with nice comforters and super clean rooms. The bathrooms had space to put stuff in the exact right place. There were plugs everywhere to plug in and charge, and the Wi-Fi worked great! In the kitchen had all the pots and pans, sharp knives, serving stuff and spices and sweeteners we could want and not just one but two types of coffee makers. The deck was a lovely place to hang out as the yard was shady most of the day. At night there was a nicely lit path to follow.
We brought a dog and there were a couple of surprises for our furry friend. The yard is pretty much fenced in, as is the deck. So we didn’t have to worry about him getting out into the busy street. They had posted the vet and the hospital numbers and rules about pets in different places.
In short, if you are looking for family getaway I’d highly recommend the Birders Paradise!

My family and I enjoyed spending Memorial Day weekend at this lovely cottage. The photos are very accurate, and the home is very well stocked. The owner was extremely responsive and provided great recommendations. Unfortunately the trail to the water hasn’t been cleared in a while so we found it impassable. However, it was a short walk down the road to one of the nearby beaches. Guilford is a lovely town to visit, and we look forward to returning in the future.

We were excited to find time to spend in Connecticut and Amy’s little cottage made our visit both easy, comfortable and convenient. She has a nicely appointed space with all the amenities you could ask for really enjoyed the fireplace for chili nights.

While in town to attend a wedding in Madison, this was the perfect place to stay. A very comfortable, spotless, well-appointed home. Birding, nature walks, and beach nearby. Amy is terrific with communication and suggestions for ways to enjoy the area, quickly responds to all inquiries.

We truly enjoyed our stay in Guilford. The cottage had just the right feel for us in terms of how it was decorated and how the kitchen was stocked. The hosts were responsive and the place was spotless. Lots to see in the area, and an excellent dog park about 15 minutes away for our dog. The small beach down the road is dog friendly year-round. We had a wonderful time at that beach observing a pair of ospreys tending to their nest of little ones!

The cottage was spotless! Well equipped and comfortable. The beds were extremely comfortable with nice sheeting. Living space and deck area well appointed and comfortable. Excellent Weber grill. My only criticism is that it was a bit difficult to walk the dog from the house as the road the house is on is a country road with very little space on either side and no sidewalks. We got into the habit of driving about 30 seconds to the beach area and walking the neighborhoods overlooking the inlets and Long Island Sound which was breathtaking. I would recommend the home without reservation; it is a good value, fastidiously maintained by A+ owners.

(11:00pm). Amy had just sent us a text to check on us since she knew that we were getting in late. When we shared our dilemma, she quickly helped with possible solutions. This was all occurring now AFTER midnight! When we finally arrived at the cottage, we were SO HAPPY to find such an incredible home waiting for us! We can't wait to come back!!
