Die ruhige Lage direkt am Meer, das Frühstück, der schottische Flair des Hauses; außerdem wurden wir täglich von einer entzückenden Katze besucht, die den Aufenthalt noch verschönert hat.
Hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit im Haus, wird mit einem Entfeuchtungsgerät entgegengewirkt.

Such a perfect place to stay on Skye! It was our first time in Scotland and honestly, Lusa Bothy is one of the highlights of our 10 day trip around the country.
You have the entire place to yourself - a huge living room with fully fitted kitchen (oven, microwave, kettle, everything you might possibly need is available).
They have board games, record player (but unfortunately someone before us must’ve broken it cause it wasn’t working well when we stayed), plenty of blankets, insect repellent, literally everything you need. The bed is very comfortable, bathroom is spacious. If you’re cold (like I always am) - there’s a fireplace, as well as a radiator in the bedroom.
The sitting areas near the windows in the living room was my favorite place to spend the evenings after a long day exploring Skye!
There’s also a dedicated parking space, a grill and seating area outside.
It was a bit hard to find but we managed, access is easy and you can do self check in and check out, which is also convenient.
You can see the water from your windows and sometimes highland cows can be spotted walking around the beach - we really enjoyed meeting them, as well as a bunch of cute cats living nearby and trying to get inside the Bothy (I don’t blame them!)
There’s a gas station and a big supermarket 10 min drive from the Bothy, which is very convenient.
It might not be the most central part of the isle but it’s definitely worth those 30 extra minutes you’ll spend driving to the touristy areas.
We really loved our stay at Lusa Bothy, and wish we stayed there longer. Definitely booking it again next time we visit Isle of Skye!
WiFi would be nice cause mobile internet was now always working well.

Beautiful and unique location! The place offers everything you need. A stunning place and great for escaping the hectic life back home. Found myself a little bit more, because of this stay. Thank you!

Really well decorated, homely feel to the place. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to detox / go off the grid for a few days. Comfortable bed, strong hot shower and has everything one would need. Jane provided a book with loads of great recommendations (highly recommend Gasta - Must try!). Waking up to the Coos made the stay all the better. Cannot recommend the Bothy enough
Not a negative but worth noting it is an old stone building so it is naturally damp, but there is small dehumidifier provided to help. The Bothy is really well located between two towns (Broadford and Kyle of Lochalsh) but may be considered far from the Isle of Skye attractions, however the Bothy itself and how comfortable it was made it worth while
