The staff at the Hotel Karlovy Vary are great. Very good customer service without any pretenion. The Buffet Brekfast is wonderful and is an outstanding committment to exceptional hospitality - a real credit to the staff who work the kitchen for Brekfast. The Karlovy Vary Hotel is far more than just a Hotel: it is a place of community and as a guest, this feeling of community makes the place feel very warm. A special mention should be made regarding the two guy's who were tending to Reception early morning around 0500hrs, each day. They really went out of their way to make me feel welcome and to assist me with a couple of requirements. These two guys are the embodiment of hospitality! I am delighted to report that I found a similar high level of hospitality, throughout my exploration of Ankawa and the greater City of Erbil.
I did originally book a room with a balcony, however there appeared to be some miscommuncation between Booking.com and Hotel Reception. So the room I was allocated at arrival, didnt have a balcony. This bring said: my room was very comfortable, so the ommision of a
balcony was not a major issue. The Restaurant doesnt accept Card payments: but this was okay as the Hotel allowed me to book my meals to my Room and pay for both Room and Meals at checkout, with my Credit card.
