The location was ideal for us, away from the noise and nightlife of “the strip”, near a very good supermarket and close to the “Secret Beach”.
The room was a very good size, with some useful shelving and very comfortable beds.
The bar/restaurant staff, in particular Ronnie and Ben, were helpful and friendly, along with Elena who surprised us by serving us food when we arrived too late for dinner.
The curtains in the room are very thin so it was far too bright for us to sleep well and the lack of shutters or blackout curtains meant the room got very hot during the day.
The shower curtain was so short that any movement in the shower lead to the floor getting absolutely flooded. There was also a small leak on the side of the shower cabin where there was no silicone sealant. I put some masking tape on it myself and solved the problem 90%.
No cupboard, just an open space with a few hangers and too shallow to hang dresses or long skirts.
Warning: if you are vegetarian, let the property know in advance (they do point this out!) otherwise the choice is extremely limited.
Breakfast was excellent, dinner could do with some improvement: hardly any Greek food served and scarce on the vegetable front, considering the Mediterranean location. Good for meat and potato eaters, though, and lots of fruit.
The bar area had no atmosphere or customers in the evenings - I suspect because the drinks are relatively expensive for Corfu.

The location is on the outskirts of the built-up area, away from the noise of Kavos nightlife but within easy walking distance of the centre and beach. Unlike Roda and some other beaches, Kavos does not offer free sunbeds, but Stavros resort rents sunbeds at a reasonable rate (2026: 10 Euros a pair per day). The breakfast buffet is excellent with a wide choice and fresh locally baked bread.
Twenty years ago, Kavos was known for good British cuisine (steak and kidney pie, mushy peas etc) but that is no longer the case, alas. There are plenty of good restaurants serving Greek, Italian or international meals at reasonable prices, for instance, Ionian Blue.
Our room had a problem with loose doorknobs; the fridge was old and noisy.

Room are big, and the residence is nice, very helpful and kind staff but much more to improove in services.
Most facilities must be improoved in the room and bathroom. No shower stall, only 2 stockets in the room and far from beds, no insect screen, no roller shutters at a basement room, unconfortable mattress, breakfast poor.
