We had a really lovely stay at this small, family-run hotel in Saranda. The hotel itself is quite simple and not a luxury hotel, but what truly made our stay special was the warmth and kindness of the family.
Everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive and welcoming. You could really feel that they cared about their guests and wanted us to feel comfortable. The breakfast was also prepared with so much love every morning, including delicious homemade börek and pancakes. 🥰
We especially loved all the little details that showed how caring the family is. For example, they would save the leftover bread from breakfast and feed it to the birds afterwards. It was such a sweet little thing to see.
If you are looking for a luxury hotel with lots of facilities, this might not be the place for you. But if you value a warm, authentic and family-like atmosphere with genuinely kind hosts, we would definitely recommend staying here. We felt very welcome and would happily come back!
The walk to the hotel can be a little difficult, as there are quite a few stairs and some uphill walking. It was not a problem for us at all, but it might be a little challenging for elderly people or guests with mobility issues. However, the hotel is very easy to reach by car and there is parking available in the garage.

Excellent breakfast, with great view; clean rooms, air conditioner. Familiar business, very nice and responsible staff. For sure in Sarande, I book at Vila Gjoni again!

The location was excellent, just a short walk from the city center, and having a private parking garage was very convenient. The host family was incredibly kind, always ready to help, and made us feel very welcome. We also truly enjoyed the breakfasts, which made each morning a great start to the day.
The only downside was the poor sound insulation.
