worth getting warm pool in winter. clean, decent kitchen, good showers. 5 mins walk from small corner shop, hyper dino at faro2. 1 min walk from canal which took you all the way to the beach by foot without traffic (25 mins with small kids)

Good communication before stay. Quiet area, good pool and very good privacy in fenced garden. Can find sun or shade around the property from when it comes up until it goes down. Would be very happy to stay here again.

Charming old fashioned villa in quiet location. Not easy to find and kitchen in particular needs an upgrade. Pleasant garden with good pool which we opted to heat at 30euros a day, so not cheap. Also rented the bbq for 40 euros which was a bit of a nerve especially as original one was useless. They did bring a new one around. No communication on the last day so we sent a photo of where we left the keys. Overall stay though was enjoyable.

The area is a mix of hotels and villas. There are only a few restaurants within a 10 minute walk. We got a taxi (less than €5) down to the lighthouse area in Meloneras most evenings.
The villa is the same as it looks in the pictures. The living area and kitchen are in the centre and then there is a bedroom and shower room/toilet in either end of the house (gives better privacy if it is two couples, but might not be suitable with very small children). The beds are comfortable. Plenty of storage space. Could do with a few more plug sockets. Plenty of channels on tv, in various languages. Kitchen very well stocked with utensils. Has tea towels, sanitizer, plenty of toilet rolls, some little bottles of shampoo etc. Need to bring your own clothes liquid. Has bathrobes. Towels.
WiFi worked quite well, but not in the main bedroom. Only two mobile fans - really missed air conditioning on the hot nights.
Security cameras inside and out.
Outside has seating on either side, so you can catch the sun most of the day.
It was over 27.C every day, so we didn’t need the pool heated. It is a nice size. It goes from 1.25m to 2m.
You can climb outside steps to get on to the roof.
Some evenings you could hear music from one of the hotels, but never too late.

After many years we were in the house again and we liked it just as much as we did then.
The garden is still very well maintained and provided a lot of privacy.
On the hint that we eat vegan, the welcome basket was adapted accordingly with delicious Canarian food.
Thus, we felt comfortable from the first minute.

Ottima posizione bella piscina
La proprietà è situata in una zona residenziale silenziosa. In poco tempo (circa 30 minuti) si può raggiungere a piedi il faro di Maspalomas con le sue dune e il Paseo maritimo. Casa ordinata e pulita, con piscina riscaldata a temperatura ottimale. Massima disponibilità dell’agenzia. Bella esperienza da ripetere!

We always enjoy our holidays at this villa and it was the same this time even though we came later in the year (Nov/Dec) We we’re glad we chose to pay the extra for the pool to be heated, it was a lovely 30c

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Villa. It is a very nicely landscaped property with a lovely pool which was heated for the duration of our holiday. The house was spotless and spacious for two people. We were appreciative of our welcome pack. My Spanish is only basic but we managed to communicate, as the owner does not have english. We would return to this property in the future again.

Super villa de vacances
Nous avons profité de tous les services offerts par la villa: intérieur de la maison avec deux salles de bains et cuisine très bien équipée (lave-vaisselle, machine à café, toaster, presse jus d'orange électrique,...), machine à laver et sèche linge à l'extérieur. L'exterieur est vraiment exceptionnel. Nous avons pris le barbecue et la piscine chauffée en option et c'était vraiment extra. Baignade possible tous les jours du matin au soir (28 à 30C).

Dichtbij een winkel, parkeerplaats voor de auto op kleine loopafstand, heerlijk om de vakantie door te brengen.
Ook fijne dagtochtjes gemaakt die met auto goed te doen zijn. Aanrader.

Chouette séjour! La maison est superbe et très pratique, localisée non loin des plages et restaurants. Nous avons adoré la piscine et la tranquillité de la villa.

Voyage en famille
Logement agréable, dans un quartier calme.
Place de parking toujours disponible. Super marché à proximité, par contre il faut prendre la voiture pour aller à la plage.
Les propriétaires sont très agréable et disponible, dés notre arrivé ils nous ont montrés restaurants et supermarché.

2. Aufenthalt war etwas Anders
Nachdem wir im April 2019 das erste Mal in dem Haus Urlaub gemacht haben, was uns ausserordentlich gefallen hat, waren wir nun des zweite Mal dort.
Fazit vorweg: Eine einmalig phantastische Reise kann man nicht einfach wiederholen, zumal in Coronazeiten.
Es hat uns diesmal nicht so gut gefallen, das die Geräuschkulisse rundrum doch manchmal eher nervig war.
Der Gärtner kam morgens um 7:00 Uhr und nahm keinerlei Rücksicht mit seinen Verrichtungen.
Es waren diesmal viel mehr Häuser in der nächsten Nachbarschaft bewohnt mit Familien / Kleinkindern.
Diese hatten dann auch noch groß Besuch, sodass direkt neben uns schon mal 10 -12 Leute nicht gerade leise waren.
Und trotz Corona hörte man laute Partymusik aus Richtung des Vergnügungsparks bis weit nach Mitternacht.
Ob das nun die Regel ist oder eher so wie im Vorjahr, wo wir alles das nicht gehabt / gehört haben, kann ich nicht beurteilen.

Wir haben uns schnell wohlgefühlt und konnten unsere 3 Wochen Urlaub genießen. Das Haus liegt in einer ruhigen Lage und das Grundstück ist von außen nicht einsehbar. Die Ausstattung des Hauses ist ausreichend und zweckmäßig.

The villa has everything you should need for your stay and there are 2 small supermarkets and a couple of bars and restaurants within 5 minutes walk.

Our second holiday in this villa and it was just as good as we remembered. A lovely Spanish villa set within its own private gardens with pool in a quiet location 25 minutes stroll to the Maspalomas beach with promenade, shops, bars and restaurants.

Clean and well maintained it provides all the household items (hair dryer, cooking utensils etc) that you will need to enjoy your stay, there is even a welcome pack with some essentials to get you started.
Staff are very friendly, non intrusive and extremely quick to help if there are any issues (for example when we locked ourselves out of the safe!! :-))
The swimming pool catches the sun most of the day, is clean, private and great for relaxing, so much so we would rather stay there than go the beach.
It is ideally located such that travel to either Meloneras, Maspalomas Beach or Playa Del Ingles is a short taxi ride away. A taxi rank is located approximately 5 mins away, if one doesn't pass you first as you walk along.
We would highly recommend West One and this property is especially suited to couples or small families.
All in all, this is our favourite holiday destination and can't wait for our next visit. Thank-you to all of the team who made our stay so enjoyable, see you soon! :-)

Entspannter urlauben in Maspalomas geht nicht.
Zunächst waren wir skeptisch, da die Gegend sehr eng bebaut ist.
Aber gleich bei Ankunft waren die Bedenken völlig weg. Das Haus liegt extrem ruhig, nicht direkt an der Strasse (Sackgasse) und zu unserer Zeit war von Nachbarn rein gar nichts zu hören. Perfekte Lage zum Strand (ca.20 Minuten Fussweg). Riesiger Supermarkt in der Nähe. Wir fühlten uns von der ersten Minute an wohl in dem Haus. Grosszügig und bei 2 Terrassen Sonne den ganzen Tag. Und auf der Dachterrasse bis zum Sonnneuntergang. Von dort ein fantastischer Blick auf die ganze Gegend.
Das Haus ist sauber, grossteils renoviert und die Aufteilung perfekt.Komplett eingewachsen, sodass man sich überall FREI bewegen kann ! Der Pool ist das Highlight. Einfach herrlich morgens nach dem Aufstehen eine Runde zu schwimmen oder nach einem Strandbesuch... Das Grundstück und der Garten sind sehr gepflegt und schön angelegt. Bei aller Euphorie ein paar kleine Verbesserungsvorschlge: Die Bäder müssten bald mal Generalüberholt werden. Es fehlte für uns ein Wasserkocher und ein Toaster. Beides haben wir im Supermarkt angeschafft. Den Wasserkocher mit nach Hause genommen. Den Toaster dort gelassen: Bitte gerne geschehen, liebe
Nachmieter ! ;)) Von der Zwischenreinigung haben wir uns etwas mehr versprochen.
Trotz vorheriger Gabe von Trinkgeld wurde ein Bad nicht geputzt und die dreckigen Handtücher nicht getauscht. Ein Mehr an Handtüchern wäre sehr schön gewesen.
Alles in allem einen der besten Urlaube seit langem und wir haben vor Ort (ein Novum)
das selbe Haus nächstes Jahr wieder reserviert und die Flüge gebucht.
Aus unserer Sicht kann man kaum besser seinen Urlaub in Maspalomas verbringen.

However, there were several things we did not like. One of the biggest issue is lack of information. There was no information on what to do on check in or check out. When we arrived we were met by Lorenzo who showed us around and gave us the keys. He sopke only Spanish but we managed. There was no information on rubbish collection so we had to email the owner. On the second day as we were in the pool, another man let himself in and introduced as Gardner and offered to clean the pool - we did not know he was coming. On the day of check out - the cleaner arrived just before 10 but check out is not till 12. She was nice and pottered about outside while we got ready to leave. The kitchen is well equipped but does not have few essentials like salt/pepper/sugar/oil or any herbs etc - these things don’t cost much money and would be nice to have. By the end of the week there was a drain smell from the bathroom we were using - one of the previous reviewers had noted this as well. We informed the owner - it was only intermittent and the drains were working fine so we just closed the door. Heating of the pool is extra. We paid it but used the pool only a couple of days. It is quite deep (2mt in deep end and 1.25 on shallow end) so not very safe with young children. Barbecue is available but at a further cost! The information folder in the house really does not have much useful information!
All in all we had a pleasant stay but feel the house is not worth the money we paid. It felt like a let down and certainly not somewhere we can recommend at the moment.

Wunderschöner Urlaub und ein tolles Haus
Wir haben in den ersten beiden Novemberwochen unseren Urlaub hier verbracht. Die Unterkunft war sehr schön, ruhig und sehr hochwertig eingerichtet. Die Badezimmer sind direkt angrenzend an das jeweilige Schlafzimmer. Man muss also morgens und abends nicht quer durch das Haus um vom Bad- ins Schlafzimmer zu gelangen.
Das gesamte Grundstück war in einem absolut top gepflegtem Zustand. Der Pool ist mit einer Gegenstromanlage ausgestattet. Super Klasse!
Vor allem die Dachterrasse ist wirklich wunderbar. Dort kann man ganztägig die Sonne und die Ruhe genießen.
Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Delightful villa in quiet area 25 mins walk to beach, promenade and shops. A few bars, restaurants and a supermarket just 5 mins walk away.
Very private villa with mature gardens and swimming pool, the villa has a traditional Spanish feel while also being modern inside.
Loved our holiday we would love to come back another year.

Beautiful Property in Tranquil Location
We have just returned from a 2 week stay at Villa West.
We were met on arrival by the hosts, who actually had to chase us down the street to point out where to park, they were extremely friendly and helpful despite the language barrier.
There was a welcome pack of essentials (including a bottle of wine) and the hosts explained about the villa and how to operate various items of equipment.
Apart from a periodic visit from the pool/garden maintenance man and one visit from the cleaner (these always knocked before coming in) we were very much left to ourselves, which is exactly what we wanted.
The property is very well maintained and ideally proportioned for four people. Lets face it you don't really want to be spending too much time inside, and the garden is a very comfortable and relaxing space to spend time. So much so we only went to the beach once during our stay rather than every day which we do usually. The garden "can" be overlooked in part by a couple of neighbouring villa's roof terraces but we saw virtually nobody on them during our stay.
The bedrooms are perfectly comfortable with tonnes of storage and the bathrooms are clean and spacious. The kitchen has all of the usual facilities (inc an oven!) although there was no kettle (there is a coffee maker instead) or anything I would recognise as a can opener (which caused a bit of amusement getting into a can of beans).
The pool is big enough to float around in and certainly didn't need heating but then it was Aug/Sept, there is a heater for the colder months. It was well looked after and always clean despite it being pretty windy on some days. There is a function to turn the flow up in the pool (into an "endless" pool) if more energetic than us.
Location wise it is ideally suited away from the thumping music of Playa del Ingles, but close enough if you want to taxi (3-4 Euro), and close enough to the beach (approx 20 - 30 min walk). Faro2 shopping centre is close by, but its only redeeming feature is a Hiperdino, but that is good for picking up essentials. This place is obviously almost derelict and be warned you may well have to dodge a zombie or 2 on the way through! The only sound was from a nearby hotel who had a bad Elvis impersonator, but luckily he went to bed at 9pm.
Overall we loved our stay here, and were loath to put this review on until we had booked our next stay. Thank-you to team who looked after us and we look forward very much to visiting Villa West again.

We loved our time at the Villa. It could not have been better!
Thank you so much for our holiday. It was made so easy by the owner right from the booking. We had regular contact in the few weeks building up to the holiday to make sure everything was perfect. We all loved the heated pool and the position of the villa meant that it was quiet but only a short walk to the restaurants etc.
The villa itself is lovely!

Net als vorig jaar, prima naar onze zin gehad
4 ligstoelen ipv 2 vorig jaar, idem voor de badlakens, betegeld om het zwembad dus beter dan vorig jaar.
Meer bestek zou handig zijn. Zwembad pomp is gehorig, maar wij storen ons er niet aan.
We komen zeker terug!

Well equipped villa with lovely pool and garden
We enjoyed staying at this villa, well equipped and clean. The agents were very helpful. The villa is in a residential area so not much about although a taxi to the centre of the resort is €4 or a 15 minute walk gets you to Meloneras.

Lovely villa, quiet location
After being scammed by luxurycanarianrentals and losing £1500 and having nowhere to stay the day before we were due to fly we were extremely happy to find that the owner of this villa responded to our enquiry very quickly. As you can imagine, we were very wary about booking another place after already losing our money once. The owner allowed us to pay by credit card through HomeAway for half of the price and then we paid the remainder on arrival. The villa was extremely clean and was equipped with cot and high chair for our toddler which we had requested when booking less than 24 hrs before arriving! There was a welcome package of milk, bread, wine etc when we arrived. The owner arranged for a taxi to come and collect us from the airport, our flight was delayed 2 hours but the taxi was there and waiting with a card with my name on when we landed (we were so relieved!). I was also able to contact the owner whilst there to arrange a taxi for our return journey to the airport with ease. We paid the extra for the pool to be heated and I'm so glad we did as the weather was the coldest I have ever known it in the canaries, although was still very pleasant. The pool and garden are lovely and our son loved running around. The wifi is great and there is everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. We rented a car but the journey to the beach, shops etc is all on the flat and probably takes around 25 mins walking but with the little one was just easier for us to get around by car. The only small negative is that the drainage for the shower in the second bathroom isn't great and therefore by the end of the week started to omit a smell (sorted by just keeping the door shut). All in all a great villa and we would definitely recommend.
