Large luxury home, stunning views, in green oasis, private garden, huge pool
About this villa rental
Situated in Baix Empordà, this attractive villa for $173 per night is a great option for your next trip. Welcome to Maremar, our luxury Costa Brava rental in Sant Feliu de Guixols with stunning sea views - only five minutes by car (15 minutes on foot) to the beach, water sports, shops, bars and restaurants. Imagine having 200 square metres of light and airy space for your family holiday, with two living rooms, one of which can be used as an extra bedroom with a proper, luxury bed (hidden in a wall space if not used)! Imagine having your own gardens on two levels overlooking the sea and the coastline, with six sun loungers available for your use. Imagine having the use of an oversized pool in a leafy oasis of calm which does not tend to get crowded (in fact, it is frequently absolutely empty) and in which you can have a proper swim, rather than just a splash about. This is what you will find at Maremar. At Maremar we have the best of all worlds - luxury, space, modernity, comfort, relative peace, enormous pool… but with easy access to the shops, the beachs and the rest of the Costa Brava, including the three major Salvador Dali buildings - his house, Gala's 'castle' and the Dali Museum itself. Our beautiful, very spacious, house is set in a discreet development next to beautiful pine woods and directly overlooks the sea. At 200 square metres of living space, it is one of the largest houses in the development, with living accommodation arranged over three storeys, and is of a high quality specification and design. It accommodates up to eight people very comfortably indeed with four bedrooms available. However, we limit occupancy to six deliberately as we want to keep Maremar comfortable and beautiful for guests. No sofa beds in the living room! You will also be thirty seconds from the enormous swimming pool, set in landscaped gardens, with all its delights. We have never known it to be crowded and many guests comment that they have had it entirely to themselves... The house boasts a very spacious living room with two three-seater sofas, dining area and full width glass doors leading out onto the large terrace and private gardens with their fabulous views along the coast of the Mediterranean and out to sea. There are dining tables accommodating six people comfortably both inside and out, although, in the spring, summer and autumn (and quite a lot of winter) you will doubtless want to spend most of your time outside. The American kitchen is modern and well equipped. It is especially good for convivial gatherings as the cook is not excluded from what is going on in the living room and beyond. We love to cook and have equipped the kitchen accordingly. We have three double bedrooms... The master bedroom is very large (the full width of the front of the house), with balconies overlooking the sea, the front gardens and the pine woods, and a luxurious en-suite bathroom in travertine and marble. The second, to the rear of the house, overlooks the landscaped gardens and the woods. It is a "normal" Spanish-sized bedroom with lots of storage. The optional 'rooftop penthouse'(!) double bedroom up on the second floor is virtually as spacious as the master bedroom and has direct access to the rooftop solarium, also looking out to sea. You can choose whether to use this as a bedroom, as another sitting room or, heaven forbid, an office! Finally, we have a spacious twin bedroom, overlooking the gardens with two single beds. This means that the accommodation can easily be configured to the needs of six people. So as to maintain the quality of this property, occupancy is strictly limited to six people. All bedrooms have deep luxury mattresses, duvets and the quality of linens that we like to use ourselves. The family bathroom has a bath and shower and there is also a separate downstairs shower room. We believe in 'fluffly' towels and have kitted out the bathrooms accordingly (but please do not use them on the beach!) As mentioned earlier, on the second floor, there is a private solarium where you can sunbathe in seclusion, looking out to sea from time to time and saying hello to the seagulls as they go by. The solarium is off a large space which can either be configured as the 'penthouse' bedroom or as a large chill out area. We have equipped the house for our own use. This means that we use high quality fixtures and fittings such as Bosch, Miele, Hansgrohe, Phillipe Starck etc. All rooms have been individually styled with solid oak flooring and high spec tiling etc. We have two lawned areas, one directly off the terrace and another down some steps, past the ancient olive tree at ground level. So you are spoilt for choice of aspect when it comes to sea and coastal views. At the rear there is a wide gated drive which will take two cars easily. It is flanked by borders containing native flowers, bushes and small trees such as an almond, a fig and a tall cypress (the local symbol of welcome). The communal pool is about 50 metres from the house and is about 20m long and six to eight metres wide (it is an unusual shape!). It is in lovely landscaped gardens with lawns (for sun bathing after a dip) and conifers. We have a 'pool box' which contains various pool toys/games which you are welcome to use. If you like to SWIM rather than just splash about in a tiny pool, then this is the place for you! There is also a paddling area to one side of it for tiny tots. Sant Feliu de Guixols is a mere 5 minute drive away or 15 minute stroll through the woods or along the coast road. In the summer months there is also a tourist 'train' which travels along the coast and up to the house, so you can easily get a lift down to the beach or the shops! We have had guests who have decided to base themselves completely at the house, sun bathing, swimming and taking the occasional stroll into town, with the most exciting thing they have done being the walk down some pretty precarious steps to the bottom of the cliff and the beautiful cove below. But if you are more adventurous or energetic there are many more things to do and see than you can cram into two or three weeks. You never have to stop! We have internet TV plus DVD. And our high speed Wifi access means you can stream whatever entertainment you wish to your own devices. And the Bose stereo system plus books and games available have been all that we have needed for a real chill out. The place is beautiful off season too, bringing other charms to bear such as the wild sea, the complete peace and the chance to use the fireplace in the living room. Sant Feliu's strapline is 'open all year round' and this is absolutely true with, for example, Carnival taking place in February. In April you can hunt wild asparagus in the woods and late summer is the time for a wild variety of mushrooms. We are close to S'Agaro, Platja d'Aro, Santa Cristina d'Aro and is close enough to, but far enough away from the big resorts of Lloret de Mar and Tossa de Mar. We love coming to Maremar ourselves. There is really not much more we can say! So if you want a luxury holiday rental in the Costa Brava, look at Maremar! We stayed 8 nights at Maremar and spent our days exploring Sant Feliu de Guixols and the villages along the Costa Brava. We loved Sant Feliu the most and could see ourselves coming back for extended stays. The home was very comfortable, clean, and nicely furnished. The location was excellent in both its proximity for walking to town and being in a quiet, private neighborhood. We spent hours on the patio in the mornings drinking our coffee and enjoying the view of the Mediterranean.

We loved everything about this place. The views were spectacular. The house was extremely clean and the four bedrooms and three baths provided all we needed as a family. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything one needed to cook well. Our communication with the owners could not have been better. They literally made every step as welcoming and easy as possible. Also everything functioned perfectly. And we felt fully secure. Also a great location for touring in this area. When we next return to the Costa Brava region we will definitely check this out to see if it is available. We would love to stay here again.

We loved this house. The views are spectacular. Peter and Lucy were such attentive hosts. Carmen the housekeeper kept the place spotless and made us very welcome. I can’t think of a better rental experience in 30 years of holiday lets. The house is very well appointed - everything worked - and Sant Feliu is a proper Spanish town - not just a tourist resort. We can’t wait to return. Ten out of ten!

fantastic villa, lovely and quite. We will be back.

The house is in a beautiful setting, up on the cliffs with a breath-taking sea view. The owners have thought of every comfort - airy rooms, high quality bed linens and fluffy towels, fully equipped and spacious kitchen. The communal pool is in an idyllic green space surrounded by pine trees. It is an easy walk (downhill) into St Feliu itself, with its sandy beach, crystal clear sea and wide range of restaurants, markets and shops, and activities. Communication with the hosts was excellent, we highly recommend this holiday stay.

Fabulous villa in a stunning location. Great communication from Peter and Lucy.
The villa is really well kitted out and gives you that home from home feeling.
Really nice to meet Carmen and chat with her.
If we could give it a six star we would.

We enjoyed very relaxing week in Maremar with our family. The apartment is very spacious in three levels, but it feels very cosy at the same time. Everything is maintained and decorated beautifully, the beds are comfort, three bathrooms spotlessly clean (as the whole house) and the kitchen is functional and equipped with everything you need. We appreciated highly that there were some basic foodstuffs for cooking, so you don't need to buy everything from the start. Then there were very nice welcoming pack (bread, coffee, juice, eggs...) so first thing was not to run to the shop, but to sit and enjoy the views. They had also noticed my husband's 60th birthday!
Arriving to the house was quite easy, because we had very good information from Peter and Lucy (as about everything...) Lovely Carmen was waiting for us at the house. She doesn,t speak any english but it didn't bother our communication. Carmen was so nice.
The views are truly beautiful. The pictures doesn't show the highness properly. At the latest you realise that, when you visit town following lovely paths. Climbing back to the house is a short challenge. But we liked it and went every day by foot to the town centre. Forest and paths were one reason why we chose this place, because we love to walk. And of course there is possibility to go the town by car, only five minutes.
If I should mention one minus point, it would be the loud wind on couple of nights. But the high scenery costs something. And it's worth it!

We would most definitely recommend Maremar, set in the most stunning scenery and views. Peter and Lucy have been amazing hosts from start to finish. We all really enjoyed our stay, and would definitely return at some point.

Great holiday home for a family or friends
Firstly, let me start by making my only critical comment - the photos of the property do not do it justice. It is larger, more spacious, well inventoried and well furnished than comes across in the pics.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Peter and Lucy we incredibly helpful whenever we reached out to them. Carmen the housekeeper was also lovely.
The pool was great and we had it to ourselves most of the time - there was one day where there were 4 others using it but given the size of the pool and surrounds it still felt as though we had it to ourselves.
It helps to have a car but it is not essential - it takes about 10-15 minutes to walk down through the forest to the town (did not try it by road) and a taxi fare back is about €12-15.
We have added to our favourites and if we are back in the area will be looking to rebook.

Relaxing long awaited getaway,
It was an entirely positive experience. Peter and Lucy were very communicative and very accommodating when covid messed up our first and second dates!
Carmen who looks after the villa is really good and helpful , in spite of not having a common language, we managed well.
The villa is lovely, the view sublime and sea breeze refreshing.
Great kitchen with everything you could need, comfortable beds and good linens.
We had thought the walk into town would be ok but it was very hot so we took the car instead.
Sant Feliu is a delightful town and it doesn’t feel touristy, there are some great restaurants too.
We had a fantastic holiday and would really like to return one day.
Thank you !

We absolutely loved this beautiful home in Sant Feliu De Guixols. Lots of room beautiful views lovely and quiet. The gift baskets was so lovely and greatly appreciated as we arrived late in the evening and we hadn't had dinner so we were happy to be able to have a snack and settle in for the night. The house is really well equipped with everything you need and more. I hope to be able to return one day with more family members. Thank you so much for a great experience.

Lovely holiday villa
We had a great week staying at Peter and Lucy's house in early September. The house is large, extremely well equipped and tastefully decorated and furnished. Peter and Lucy were great owners; very prompt in replying to emails and texts, and the check-in process was very easy. The additional information on the website and by email was very helpful.
We used the beautiful pool most days to swim. It is a large pool, big enough to do lengths, and was usually empty, or just one family there.
The walk into town is an easy 15 minutes downhill, but a bit longer back up the hill. We had a car, and in the first week of September had no difficulty parking in town when we wanted to.
The Costa Brava was beautiful and it was easy to reach some lovely beaches and great costal walks. The walk from Sant Pol beach to Sa Conca was stunning, and both beaches are great for food and swimming.
Overall a great holiday and a perfect holiday home.

Fantastic Villa
The villa is much better than the photos - they simply don't do it justice. Six of us stayed for the week and it has everything you could want, The view from the terrace is beautiful and as it faces the sea there is a welcome breeze. Peter and Lucy are tremendous hosts and provided lots of relevant information for places to visit in the area. They were also available constantly to help with any queries able helped by their wonderful housekeeper Carmen. We had a great time on holiday and would recommend this to anyone.

Stunning home on the cliffs overlooking the sea
From the very first communications with Peter and Lucy, we were wonderfully taken care of in our approach to and enjoyment of Sant Feliu and the house. The house is at the end of a block and has an uninterrupted view of the sea-- and a climb down to swimmable rocky shore. The community pool was easily accessed and a lovely oasis from the local beaches. Everything we asked about-- swim lanes, local events, places to eat--Peter and Lucy responded with enthusiasm and loads of information. These are truly hosts who are invested in their home and want their guests to get the most out of their lovely space and the surrounding town and culture. This was on the higher end of places we have stayed-- but worth the extra money and really comfortable for two families with young adult children. With the help of Carmen, their on-site agent, the arrival and departure couldn't have been easier. We look forward to returning-- the town suited us perfectly as it offered lots of activities and a strong local vibe that has not been overrun by tourists. The extraordinary beauty of the Costa Brava was all around us in the beautiful home of Peter and Lucy. Great puzzles as well! And kitchen-- with starter basket and all the basics made it easy for us to do meals when we were taking a break from the wonderful local restaurants. Many thanks Peter and Lucy-- we look forward to returning!

Fantastic Accomadation Full 5 Stars !
Firstly the property is in a lovely quiet location with stunning views over the med.
A beautiful swimming pool is a mere 30 seconds away and is set in landscaped gardens. We went at the end of season so had it to ourselves and it was still plenty warm enough for a swim.
The villa itself is equipped to a very high standard with literally everything you might need. The layout worked perfectly and the rooms were all good sizes and tastefully decorated.(The master bedroom is awesome with its en suite and balconies with gorgeous views to the front) The beds themselves were very comfortable and with the addition of air con throughout the villa it made for an excellent night's sleep.
We really enjoyed having a barbecue on the patio overlooking the sea. The local supermarkets are fantastic and if you like fish you will love it even more. (I particularly loved buying fresh huge prawns by the kilo for the barbecue)
The owners were incredibly helpful, from us initially expressing an interest right through to us leaving to come home. We had a local power cut one evening and Peter rang the local electric company on our behalf and even offered alternative accommodation nearby. (Luckily it only lasted 90 minutes). Also despite arriving after midnight the owners had arranged for a local lady called Carmen to meet us and show us the basics, alarm etc. She also provided a welcome pack which was very much appreciated too.
We would recommend a car if you're staying.
Sant Feliu de Guixols itself is a traditional Catalan market town. It has many excellent restaurants, coffee shops and patisseries all a very short distance from the beach. We would recommend a trip to Sant Pol which is the next beach along. We caught the tourist train for 3 euros rather than walk it. The beach is lovely there has very soft sand and we can highly recommend the Maria Rosa restaurant on the front !!!
As you can see by the other reviews Maremar is first class accommodation and you will not be disappointed. We hope to return in the future.

Absolutely Fantastic!!!!
This was the second year running we stayed at Maremar so that tells you how much we enjoyed it the first time!!
Staying at Peter & Lucy's villa is just a wonderful experience from start to finish.
Peter & Lucy are an absolute delight to deal with, nothing is too much trouble for them. Our silly questions were answered immediately and they spent an awful lot of time and effort supplying information for the more difficult ones. Our daughter had her birthday the day after we arrived and yet again Peter & Lucy had arranged a lovely surprise for her at the local patisserie. If there are better villa owners, I've yet to meet them.
The handover of the villa works seamlessly with Carmen there to meet you on arrival and the villa itself is wonderful. Absolutely spotless and perfectly maintained, the sea views from all floors are breathtaking.
The shared pool ( by shared there were never more than 3 other people and most of the time we had it to ourselves) is huge and warm and if the wind gets up occasionally, it's completely sheltered.
We love St Feliu itself. The beach is great and never over-crowded and the sea is pleasantly warm. Snorkelling is far better than you'd expect (especially over by the rocks) and the area is lifeguard patrolled.
There are so many good places to eat in St Feliu it's hard to know where to start.
Cerveceria Hot Dog is way better than it's name suggests and tied with La Trinquet for serving the best octopus.
La Vermuteria is all about vermouth (as the name suggests) and serves excellent tapas and sangria made with vermouth rather than red wine. Truly awesome and a knockout hit with the ladies in our party.
When you need a break from tapas then the Italian restaurant La Locanda di Nonna Flo serves excellent pizzas.
If you're adventurous our 12 year old did an introductory scuba dive with Piscis Diving in St Feliu and they were totally brilliant. Very professional and safety conscious, she loved the whole experience.
We also visited Girona itself and what a lovely city. We did a guided walking tour and found it well worth it.
Departure from Maremar was as easy as arrival. Carmen came to take the keys and that was it. Our damage deposit was back in our account before we'd even taken off from Girona airport.
We're visiting my brother in Florida next year so we won't be returning to St Feliu unfortunately. If we weren't would we stay again at Maremar.? Of course we would!!!!

Fantastic!
Maremar is a fantastic place for a family holiday.
The house was clean, spacious, in a great location - and with amazing views! Peter and Lucy were really helpful from start to finish, and provide a really friendly but professional service.
We enjoyed exploring the local area (including a visit to the water park!), and several local beaches. We also found it easy to just relax at the house and make use of the wonderful pool.
Definitely highly recommend!

Perfect
We had rented Peter and Lucy’s lovely home in Puligny-Montrachet several times, so we knew we wouldn’t be disappointed when we decided to rent at Maremar and see a different part of the world. The house is quiet, private, and tastefully and thoughtfully furnished and decorated, with simply gorgeous views of the Mediterranean by day and by night. It has everything you could want to make your own home comfortable: a very well-equipped, modern kitchen, an interesting selection of books, CDs, a barbecue, an electric plancha, roomy closets, very comfortable beds, and even beach towels, lawn chairs, yoga mats and snorkelling equipment.
Peter and Lucy are the kindest, most helpful and thoughtful hosts imaginable. They are quick to respond to any question, have a website with all manner of useful information about the town and surrounding area, provide you with a detailed list of events in Sant Feliu and environs before your arrival, and their recommendations as to what’s not be missed are spot on. They even provided an updated list of local events halfway through our stay.
We particularly enjoyed the gorgeous walking paths along the coast, the beautiful beaches, the farmers’ market in San Feliu, the wonderful fresh fish, and watching the annual fireworks competition at Blanes from a boat just offshore. The local museum in Sant Feliu is well worth a visit, as are the botanical gardens at Cap Roig. I found the pre-Roman Iberian walled town at Ullastret fascinating. But the once-in-a-lifetime event for me was the annual Correfoc in Sant Feliu, in which highly trained (and intrepid, I think) people run through the streets holding fireworks. You have to see it to believe it, but once you see it, you’ll never forget it. And I have to say, the same applies to our stay at Maremar.

Amazing views and spacious accomodations!
Having recently completed a glorious one week stay at Maremar, we were reluctant to leave. Walking in, the view of the water through the trees is amazing. It is only after you take a tour of the home that you realize you are going to be very comfortable and enjoy your stay. The kitchen is perfect for cooking, if you decide to do so, and the living area is spacious and yet cozy. The patio just outside allows for dining as well as lounging. The bedrooms and baths are luxurious and the top floor allows for additional space as well as the outside roof top patio. There is a pool associated with the complex that is beautiful, even though it was too early in the season for us to use. We highly recommend Maremar as a place to stay while in Costa Bravo.

Wonderful familiy holiday
We have recently returned from a wonderful 8-days-stay at Maremar.
The house gave enough space for our three teenagers to seclude.
We especially liked the tranquility, the beautiful view on the sea, the tasteful and comfortable furnishing and the very good kitchen equipment.
Even in the beginning of November it was possible to swim in the large, beautiful swimming pool – of course, it was a little bit cold...
We enjoyed the walk through the pine forest, which takes about 15 minutes. Sant Feliu is a beautiful city with lovely shops, restaurants and a large market on sundays.
Thanks a lot to Lucy and Peter for many useful excursion recommendations and also for the very nice communication.
We'll surely come back someday!

Highly responsive host, well maintained home, lovely setting, convenient location
We were delighted with Peter. Extremely helpful answering questions and arranging transportation. The house delivers on all promises; clean, well appointed, and great location. Our guests enjoyed the third floor bedroom and balcony, unusual to find a house with essentially two master suites.Sant Feliu is a gem. So many delicious restaurants. Don't miss the coastal path - a hidden pleasure. We will definitely consider renting from Peter again, possibly one of his other houses?

Absolutely Fantastic!!!!
Having just returned from a 2 week stay at Maremar I was seriously tempted not to write a review at all as I don't want anyone else to know about it!!!
The villa was lovely. Spacious and comfortable with modern appliances, it was a delightful place to stay.
All the rooms have very efficient air conditioning so sleeping on the hot summer nights wasn't a problem at all.
The views from the back of the house are fantastic. The 3rd floor sun terrace is totally private and a complete sun trap for most of the day.
Well appointed bathrooms, (3 of them), meant we were never stuck for cleaning up at the end of a day at the beach or pool.
Always preferred a private pool but this one was was great. Huge and warm and even in the middle of August it never had more than half a dozen other people in it. A lot of the time we had it to ourselves.
St Felui itself was lovely. Great beach with some surprisingly good snorkelling. Stay over to the rocks on the right hand side looking out to sea and the water is more clear with lots more fish.
Great variety of shops and a handy Spar in the main square with some bigger supermarkets a little further out.
Restaurants aplenty ranging from small cafe's to more upmarket ones.
We loved the 'Hot Dog' (don't be put off by the name) for tapas and where I had the best octopus Gallega of the holiday. Snack Bar El Carrllet just behind the beach was tremendously convenient and a great place to have a large beer (the waiter wouldn't let me have it until I pronounced it correctly 'jarra' meaning pitcher!!) and something to eat for lunch.
Eldorado Mar is the first restaurant you pass coming down the hill into St Felui from the villa and has superb views over the harbour backed up with wonderful food. Good value too if you go for the set price menu although the fillet of beef in salt crust from Girona off the a la carte was well worth it.
Finally the owners. If you want a perfect example of how to run a villa rental then look no further than Peter and Lucy. The information they provided prior to and during our stay was exceptional. E-mails were always answered within a couple of hours and we'd been in the villa for 20 minutes before the phone rang and it was Peter checking we were happy with everything. On top of that our daughter turned 11 during our stay and Peter and Lucy had arranged a lovely surprise for her on the day.
Would we go back? We're already looking at next year so of course we would!!!

Excellentes vacances!!!

We've just returned from a wonderful week at Maremar. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay. Lucy and Peter with the help of Carmen were great hosts to us and their attention to detail is remarkable. Communication before, during and after our stay was excellent and we felt welcome even before we arrived, having been supplied with plenty of information about local restaurant, things to see and do and other useful recommendations. The first thing we fell in love with is the view from the house. We enjoyed having breakfast on the terrace with a view on the wild coast leading to Tossa de Mar. The location is very peaceful and quiet. As we had perfect beach weather we hardly used the pool, but it's very nice and just a few steps away. We liked the fact that pretty much everything you could possibly want or need during your stay is provided, especially in the kitchen area. This is not your average faceless holiday rental, rather it feels like the owners are sharing their home. We will definitely be back.

Our global family found a central location by all flying to BCN and driving 1.5 hr to Sant Feliu. Peter and Lucy are outstanding hosts. We received excellent communication before during and after our trip. The villa was very clean and even the refrigerator was stocked with the necessities upon our arrival. The town of Sant Feliu is delightful and since we were in the off season it was easy to get around and find convenient parking.
We look forward to returning to Maremar in the future.

Very quiet location at the end of the row of condos bordering on a very large open space forest. Lovely views of the sea below. Some hooting and hollering from party boats on the week-end down below, but not enough to be a distraction. Market is about a five or six minute drive down the hill. Small price to pay for the privacy and quiet. My family and I enjoyed our week. We often drove to S'agaro which has a bit nicer beach and a lovely cliff side promenade. We have been delighted with so many aspects of the property and resort just a few of which are: amazing view, peaceful setting yet close to delightful town of Sant Feliu de Guixols; grounds and garden well cared for containing fresh herbs, grape vines, almond and lemon tree; home full of those little essentials you haven't room to pack; kitchen cupboards full of quality cooking equipment, a good selection of teas, condiments and staples; pool accessories essential for kids and dads alike; wifi speed excellent.
Thought seems to have been given to everything. Thank you Lucy, Peter and Carmen for the personal touches. Any queries we had were promptly dealt with over and above our expectations.

We, a family of four, spent a fantastic fortnight at Maremar. We were looking for somewhere peaceful and relaxing, whilst being within walking distance of restaurants and bars. That is exactly what we got!
Maremar is just as good - if not better - than described in the listing. The sea view is stunning. It really does feel like someone's own holiday home that they have let you borrow for a short break. Well appointed, very comfortable and spotlessly clean - what more could you want?
Peter and Lucy seem to have thought of everything, and were always at the end of the phone for help and advice, with absolutely nothing being too much trouble. That included, in our case, arranging for a locksmith to retrieve some lost keys!
There is plenty of information, both at Maremar and on the website, about the area and thing to do, close by or further afield. Indeed, Lucy had already sent us lots of ideas even before we arrived.
As other reviews have said, Sant Feliu is a bustling seaside town, feeling very cosmopolitan and family orientated. It was great to feel we were in a resort that the Spanish would also want to visit. Everyone made us feel very welcome, even though to our continued embarrasment we do not learn any Spanish or Catalan before we arrived.
We used Maremar as a base to explore the area and keep everyone happy - culture (Gaudi + Dali), shopping (Barcelona) and water-based activites (snorkelling + waterparks).
And the highlight of the holiday? We were very lucky to be in Sant Feliu over a festival weekend, and sitting on the beach at 11pm watching a 30 minute firework display over the Mediterranean was awesome (Tom, aged 9).
Thank you Peter and Lucy

The property is larger than the photos suggest, with good sized living area and kitchen, as well appoinated bedrooms. The house was immaculately clean, and well maintained, and the garden professionally managed. All the facilities you need for a peaceful stay. The location is quiet with stunning sea views, and a short drive into town. The owner was helpful at all times, be that with the local shops or art gallery. Very good local shops, with excellent market for vegetables, meat and fish. Highly recommended.
