WORST EXPERIENCE!!

I called the number that was provided a day before to ask if we can check in sooner since are going to be there for work and need to start at a wedding by 4:30 pm. The girl said I don't see anyone booked so since there won't be guests you should be able to just text us at 12 noon. I called and texted over 7 times and they said the cleaning and check in crew are there. We sat in front of the property at 3:20 check in was at 4 I called two times and they said they are still there making sure everything is clean and nothing is broken and everything is perfect for you to check in. Once you see them leaving the property you can check in. We waited till 4 no-one left the house (there were 2 cars parkerd in front of the house before us) then we finally go in and the house was so HOT and HUMID I got an instant headache. The AC WAS NOT EVEN ON!! The House was on 80!! There were dusts everywhere. Cross on the floor of the bedroom. When I Called they said oh it was clean in the beginning of the week and the check in crew didn't make it on time to to turn on the AC. Are you kidding me? The 7 times I texted and called every single person said they are working on cleaning the house and making sure nothing is broken for your check in!! They were just lying the whole time and I don't care if they didn't want us to check in sooner than the assigned check in time (4 pm) but they should have had the property clean and cool at 4 pm not feeling like a sauna and smelling like mold. The dishes were obviously just washed by the previous guests and not checked or re washed by the cleaners because they were disgusting. The bathtub was first and blond woman hair pieces in it. Unfortunately I Can't even say book another property as this company "Hill Country Premier Lodging" owns over 300 properties in the Hill county.

We really enjoyed staying in this quiet, cozy home close to the shops in Wimberley.

This was by far the cleanest vacation home I have ever rented. It is decorated beautifully and had such a cozy feel. The temperature always felt perfect and the beds were so comfortable. And the bathroom soap smelled amazing! It was also very quiet, even though the owners were staying in the other part of the home. It was a great place to relax!

I had no idea that I wasn't renting the entire home. I may have missed that somewhere. If I had wanted to use the outdoor space in the backyard, I would have worried that I was bothering them. However, the owners were so quiet, so it wasn't really an issue. I just wish I had known. I also didn't realize that I was staying upstairs - my 80 year old mother has bad knees and it wasn't easy for her to climb the stairs. I wouldn't have booked the property had I known that.

Dissapointing.

Good location if you want to stay in Wimberley. Very peaceful location away from town but close enough to be convenient. Easy access to property by road.

Not very private, owners stays in same property and share facilities. Not really suited for self catering although it is advertised as such.

A magical place, fit for royalty.

This was probably the most beautifully appointed place we have ever stayed in - the owners should rightly be proud of the quality of the finish - we were very lucky to stay in part of their private home.

That we were only able to stay one day, before flying to Florida.

We loved the house!

The lighting in the living room and dining room was too dim! The tv in living room could not get it to work. The outside of house in the back could use alittle tlc.

We had a wonderful visit and plan to go back to the Wimberly House!

The reason for our trip was to relax and see a little of Wimberly. We had two couples and the layout of the rooms/bathrooms, etc. was perfect; it allowed for good privacy. The beds were smaller than what we are used to but very comfortable and we slept great! We loved the location on the river. It was so beautiful!

It was not a problem and I probably missed it in the description but I didn't realize we would be climbing stairs to the second floor. We had some heavy luggage to carry :)

Beautiful home beautiful scenery great location.

The front door. Very small hard to not hit walls while carrying your luggage in.

The Host was great the location was great. Other than bedrooms on second floor everything was great.

Relaxing cottage by the creek

The location was wonderful. This is an upstairs stay with a whole house feel. Each bedroom had its own beautiful bathroom. The property is beautiful and sitting on the deck each morning listening to the creek and watching the beautiful birds was part of what made our stay so relaxing.
