Sitting On The Sound is a 1BR/1BA cozy home on the bay and has a new owner with all new upgrades from new living room and deck furniture to painting! This home has a fully stocked kitchen, charcoal BBQ grill, standard coffee pot, cable tv & wifi. The location was great for what I needed & wanted. I arrived at night so some motion sensor lighting would be helpful by the steps. Otherwise, it was perfect & very peaceful.

With a beautiful view overlooking the St. George sound, that changes throughout the day with the rise and fall of the tides, it is in a quiet location off a main road and the town of Carabelle is within walking distance with a few restaurants and a lovely local museum - lots of heart and very warm volunteers working there. A short ride away you can get to the state parks, accessible dog friendly beaches, or the town of Apalachicola which was bustling with tourists when we went. (If you like BBQ try FatDaddy's along the way and chat with the owners...) The unit was terrific in terms of space and everything provided that we needed in the kitchen. As with most newer shoreline residences there, two flights of exterior stairs. OK unless you have a dog who is afraid of stairs... :-D we all did fine, he grew to love the attention. Unlike other units we looked at which were wedged in to rows of other houses, at this location we had only one other home nearby with really lovely, welcoming neighbors.

This is just the perfect vacation house for two and in the most beautiful and quiet location. Very clean, sunrises and sunsets amazing! Check in was a breeze, host was readily responsive to questions. Will stay again

We loved our stay and this adorable house. We had such a wonderful and relaxing time and the house was the perfect size. It had everything we needed and it was in the best spot on the water to have morning coffee and an evening cocktail. We will definitely be back!

We loved our stay! Had every thing we needed. Mornings, evenings and nights on the deck were the best. Night sky with the milky way. It was way to hot to sit out there during the day but there are chairs in the carport. Our favorite place to eat in the area is Morning Bite in town and Up The Creek in Apalachicola.

We loved it! The guys next door were nice They left early to go fishing and down for the night early. All quiet. Had several days with no one around. Loved the privacy. Loved the balcony/ deck overlooking the water.

Sitting on the Sound for this one bedroom ocean view was EXTREMELY peaceful, secluded and cozy. Throughly enjoyed watching nature(fish jumping, birds flying with fish in hand). Sun rise/ sets were spectacular off the ocean view. The property management really thought of everything that could be possibly needed such as: crossword books, movies, puzzles, binoculars, and washer/dryer with laundry detergent. Enjoyed dining in nearby St. George Island(Blue Parrot, Beach Pitt).

This is a perfect location. Beautiful view Loved seeing and listening to all the sounds of nature. Not far from Apalachicola or St George Island. Super comfortable we even had our 2 year old Aussie Doodle with us. The whole town is super Dog friendly. Sitting on the Sound is such a peaceful relaxing spot. Away from the crowds of people and city noise. I’m sure to put this spot on my list of properties to revisit .

The home is lovely and peaceful, we enjoyed the quiet neighborhood. We especially enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the wildlife on the water! The main drawback was the bed... very creaky mattress and hard. Each night got a little more painful.

My husband and I found exactly what we were hoping for - relaxing time together in a dog friendly location! The home was very clean and just as advertised. I would actually say that it was nicer in person than in the pictures! The location was beautiful and we very much enjoyed exploring the "Forgotten Coast".

Enjoyed our view and the quiet surroundings. A great getaway! The only thing we would have enjoyed was to be able to open the windows and enjoyed the cool temps in the evenings. No screens on any window!

This property was conveniently located. Sunrises and sunsets from deck were wonderful. A little trouble getting heat turned on but otherwise perfect for us and our two dogs.

We booked this property as a last minute refuge after the weather for our camping trip was to drop lower than we were prepared for (lows in the low 20's with wind chills in the teens). Finding the house was easy. The view is fantastic and we spent two days watching the birds in the sound. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

What a lovely spot to drink in tranquility. The property was very comfortable, suited our needs but basic. We took our 2 small dogs and was surprised to learn one is afraid of heights.(like his mom😜). The OPEN stairs leading to the house were frightening to him, so we had to carry him up and down. I’m only mentioning because i would have never imagined and thankful he is small. It may be worth a test run before taking a larger dog.

We had a wonderful time. We rented the bigger house a few years ago. Met The owner. Extremely nice and pleasant. Love sitting on the deck and watching the sunrise and sunset. So many things to do in the area. Will probably be back in another year or two.

We loved our week here. Looking out over the sound watching the Pelicans and the gorgeous sunsets… quiet relaxing perfect. Close to Carrabelle Beach and 20 minutes to St George Island- drove over to sit on the beach and dolphins watch.

This is a charming house right on the water. It is so cute! There is a small deck overlooking the water and it was wonderful to sit out there and relax. The bed was very comfortable, and we had everything we needed for a lovely weekend.
