The location of this place is excellent; you're right by the cathedral which is very convenient for the city. There's a secure car park right next to the lodge. The communication is also brilliant - you get a message detailing anything you might wish to know about how the car parking works, where to find it, etc. The room is nicely decorated, modern and clean.
We were staying for 3 nights, two of us, and there were only three coffee pods supplied which felt like a bit of a shame.
Also I forgot where the check-in desk was (we'd stayed here a few years back) and it took me a while to remember where to go. It was included in the informational message about check in, but, a What3Words location would be useful to really set this in stone.

Perfect location in the city centre with added bonus of parking included. It was immaculately clean, extremely peaceful, with excellent security and near to the Cathedral and the Lanes.
Our room on the ground floor is beautifully designed but open plan so no door to the bathroom and no privacy for contemplation on the loo! Fine if you know someone exceptionally well.

We have stayed in this hotel several times and have never had an issue. It's clean, close to city centre and I would recommend it to anyone.
There were 2 young couples that decided to have a chat whilst sitting on the cars just outside of our room at 4am on the Sunday morning.
I had requested a quiet room which we didn't get.
When my husband politely asked if they could take their conversation elsewhere as we had a 5 hour drive that day. They did move on but slammed doors and talked loudly to each other for another hour.
At 5pm, I called the concierge that came to have a work, it went quiet for 5 minutes, then the banging of doors continued till 6am.
When I mentioned to the reception on checking out, they had no knowledge of the disturbance .
I have several more trips booked in this hotel and im seriously wondering if I should cancel.
