About this house rental
Nestled in Dayton, this attractive house for $84 per night is a great option for your next vacation. The best place to stay when visiting the National Air Force Museum. It's open year round, entrance is free, and you even can walk to the museum if you want :) You will also be very close to all the Wright Patterson AFB entrances and only 5 minutes to Wright State University, only 10 minutes to the Nutter Center (for watching various shows) and Downtown Dayton - including the Oregon District, University of Dayton, Schuster Center, Miami Valley Hospital, and others. Perfect for vacation or work! The space: This cozy home has two bedrooms with queen beds that can sleep 2 (or 3 kids if needed) and an extra rollaway bed if you need it. The living room has a TV with local channels and Netflix and streaming TV channels via SlingTV... the other bedroom also has their own TV also with Netflix if you'd like to watch your own shows. A DVD player and lots of DVDs are also available for your entertainment, as are various books, comic books and board games for the kids. If you are an outdoors person, a bike lane is right in front of the home. This will connect you to the major bike lanes in town and even to other cities like Tipp City, Troy, and even to Cincinnati if you wish! (see for more information) Areas of the home: You have full access to the Kitchen (full size fridge, stove, microwave, coffeemakers, toaster, utensils) to save money by cooking your own food, as well as laundry facilities (washer and dryer in basement) if needed. You will have a driveway to park your car in and extra parking spaces if needed at the front of the property. Other information: The back of the house is close to a railroad track (there is another house between us and the track) and you can sometimes hear a train coming through (sounds like rain pouring) for about 1-2 minutes .. about 3-4 times a day. Not loud enough to really disturb you, especially if watching TV. It's a pretty good experience to see the train as it goes by though.. you don't see that often nowadays. No parties please. This is a quiet neighborhood and we'd like to keep it that way. Disclaimer: For your safety and the safety of others, surveillance cameras are installed outdoors at this property. They are only pointed to the public areas that include the driveway, front porch, and back door areas. Finally, we have have prepared this home as best as we can but if you find something that needs improving, please contact us and we'll do our best to fix or rectify the issue. Thanks!

We really enjoyed our stay at Gerald's place. It's a cute little well maintained older home (super easy to find) close to shopping and restaurants. New appliances and thoughtful touches make it a nice place to stay. Plenty of parking.

Great place to stay for the weekend. We came in for a soccer tournament so we really just slept here. It was nice being by the Air Force Museum and near the Wright Brothers attraction for down time between games. It was nice having a washer and dryer to get soccer clothes ready for the next day. Hope to stay again for next year’s tournament.

The property reminds me of a house from the Christmas story - with some modern conveniences. Nothing pretentious, but then again I got the feeling Dayton is the opposite of fancy in of itself. Clean comfortable and excellent air conditioning. The owner was very responsive to all concerns and made himself avilable. I’d recommend this if being away from downtown is desired or you want to spend a lot of time at air force museum.

The property was just as described. The location was very quiet and across the street from AFM. It's an older house but it's clean & modern with comfortable beds. I would definitely stay again and recommend to others. Although there is a train close by we only recall hearing it once or twice in 2 days and neither time disturbed us.

Location was great for our trip. It was clean, neat and well appointed. The biggest disapointment was the back bedroom mattress was very uncomfortable. Improve that and it is a gem for those visiting Dayton!

We've stayed at this property before, so when planning another trip to the museum, there was no question of whether to book at this property again or not. It's so close to the museum you could literally just walk there. Very convenient! This is a clean, nicely maintained property. The owner is so kind and quick to answer any questions that you may have. Will definitely be staying here again!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. We felt comfortable and relaxed between our activities nearby. The location was perfect for visiting the USAF Museum, Carillon Park and Woodland Cemetery. We also found a wonderful diner nearby, Debbie's Restaurant.

The home was very clean and tastefully decorated with all listed amenities in clean and working order. Bedrooms are very spacious, kitchen is fully equipped and the property is well-maintained. The gated driveway and yard provides an extra sense of safety, neighbors were very nice, and the front porch offers a view of the Air Force Museum. Gerald was very responsive and friendly.

Gerald is a great guy and is very communicative. The house is a nice gem in a little neighborhood across from the AF museum. The house was clean, comfortable, and in a great location for men. I’ll be looking to stay here again the next time I’m in town.

Great value and also convenient also to a great, great cafe nearby too - Pettibone Coffee. Turns out Dayton's cafe scene is in it's 4th wave. Only thing I'd ask is that perhaps the cooking pots and pans were refreshed for those who want to cook. Overall would recommend and would happily revisit. Thanks!

My husband and I spent the day at the W-P AF museum and were definitely ready to get off our feet by 3PM. The house was just across the street from the museum, so it was a quick trip. Checkin was smooth, no issues. There was a few trains that went by during the night that woke us up, but the listing did state that there was a railroad track nearby. Overall, nice stay!

Check in was smooth. House is located in a quiet neighborhood and close to everything you need to do. It had everything we needed. We did have small problem with no washcloths but the owner was very quick to respond and to drop off them. I would definitely rent it again.

Our stay was great, everything exactly like stated, no surprises. We had booked it in September and were looking forward to going to the National Air Force Museum on New Years Eve. The museum was right across the street and was fabulous. We were also in a short driving distance to each of the other sites we visited- location was so convenient. We would definitely stay again if we're ever in Dayton.

The place was very clean and very convenient if you are visiting the Air Force Museum. It is in a very safe location with great restaurants a short drive from the house. Perfect location!! We were able to enjoy the Neil Armstrong Museum and hike Aullwood Audubon Nature Center, check out some Fall Festivals, visit the Dayton Air Force Museum, hike the Clifton Gorge and John Bryan State Park in Yellow Springs and stay in the perfect little house right in the middle of everything!

I loved this property! It was not only conveniently located across from the AF Base and Museum, it was also within a short drive of many of the local sites/activities in and around the Dayton area. My host, Joseph, was welcoming and answered any questions I had about the property and the Dayton area. Overall, a great experience. I’ll definitely come back.
