Clean and very comfortable. I had a room at the back so no traffic noise to disturb sleep. Hospitality tray refilled and waste bin emptied daily. Very close to the station where most buses leave from for other lake district locations if you don't have the use of a car or prefer to leave the driving on little country roads to the professionals! Many shops, restaurants and an excellent supermarket close by. On my day of departure it was raining VERY heavily and my train did not leave till lunchtime. Michelle very kindly allowed me to keep dry in the downstairs lounge for a couple of hours rather than tramp the streets with my luggage getting very soggy indeed. Lifesaver 😁👍 Would not hesitate to recommend and would definately stay again!
Nothing really to criticise. The stairs are steep and quite narrow but that's not criticism; its to be expected in a cottage of this age which weren't built for people with large suitcases 🤷♀️

Location next to the train station was great and the bed very comfortable
We found some old clothes in one drawer.

Where it’s located
The window doesn’t close it was cold all night , and we got moved so our toilet was on the outside of the room , directly outside someone else’s room ,
