Located in Wrightsville Beach, this charming house for $222 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Spend your next beach vacation rocking on the spacious wraparound porch at “Cardwell”. This seemingly ocean front home sports great ocean views and was designed by an architect associate of Frank Lloyd Wright. Although this home is technically one house back from the beach front, the unique staggered lots on the north end of the island ensure picture perfect views and a feeling of privacy. The private road with no public parking will make you feel as though you have the beach to yourself. Don’t miss your chance to vacation in this one-of-a-kind cottage! The main living level of “Cardwell” has a large living-dining area with cathedral ceilings. A series of sliding glass doors wrap the home to allow natural light to flood the living space and showcase the picturesque views beyond. The kitchen and bathrooms have been lightly updated to make a comfortable space to prepare home cooked meals for the family. A large dining table provides ample seating and opens to the main living space that is furnished with plenty of seating options. Just off the kitchen is a small multi-purpose room that includes a bunk bed (twin over twin), half bathroom, and laundry facilities. Down the hall on the main living level is a full bathroom that serves the nearby guest room that is furnished with two beds, a twin, and a queen. This guest room has a large sliding glass door that leads to the ocean side deck and offers a nice view of the ocean. The primary suite is located at the end of the hall and features a lush kind sized bed, walk in closet, dual vanity, walk in shower, and gives direct access to the wraparound porch. Wake up each morning to the waves crashing and palms blowing in the soft breeze. A spiral staircase located in the living room gives this home unique character and leads to the top floor where there are three additional bedrooms. At the top of the stairs, you will find a full bathroom complete with a walk-in shower. This bathroom serves the upstairs bedrooms. To your left is a guest room with a queen-size bed and built-in seating. This bedroom overlooks the main living area below and features some very eye-catching angles designed by the architect. To the right of the stairs there is a second guest bedroom with a queen bed that is framed by a series of windows that make the room feel bright and airy. This guest room also overlooks the living area below and directly leads to the third bedroom which provides a full bed. Given that the full bedroom directly connects to the queen guest room this sleeping arrangement is ideal for families with small children. If you are looking for a vacation home with ample outdoor space, great views, worry free parking, a stellar location, tons of charm, and all the comforts of home then look no further. We have family and have stayed in several of the homes on Wrightsville Beach. This is our familes favorite- this hear was our 4th time at the beach house. You can't beat the location on the quiet end of the beach- lots if privacy. The deck and views are amazing . They updated the house and it really now has thae beach cottage feel . The kitchen is huge -We are already booked for next year !

Little water pressure in the master shower. Upstairs bedroom TV did not work. The grill was so filthy it would get hotter than 300 degrees. I had spoken to Morgan on Aug 10th to make sure the grill had propane which it did. As a result, the grill was useless. We ended up cooking my birthday meal on the stove:((( Broken window blinds upstairs.

The house is a bit dated but is a perfect beach cottage. The kitchen was well stocked and there were enough bedrooms for our group. Property manager communicated very well. I'm giving it a 4-star overall because it does need a little tender loving care. Stove did not work well and some of the furniture seemed to be falling apart.

House was located at the perfect spot, steps from the beach, on a serene end of the island and is of great size for a large amount of people. Vacation was much fun and the beach was beautiful. Air unit was an issue not cooling the place, Bryant responded quickly however. In the end we would use Bryant again but not stay at this location.

We have rented Cardwell in the past and the view and location to the beach never disappoint.Unfortunately the mechanics in the house did.There has always been an issue with the air in the home-especially upstairs, but this year it stopped completely . The temo in the house went uo to 89. Maintenace was called and di come timely and did what they could and retuned to see if they could do more. The house cooled to 80. There is never any air really circulating frim the vents - the vents are cold-but no forced air coming out.
The nights even before the air went were warm and uncomfortable.I did submit a complaint and di not hear back.
SO- great view- beach access....but be ready for warm nights inside. They definitely need to update the entire air unit. It is a lot to spend and be uncomfortable-I can't recommend to friends until the air is fixed

Rented this home for a long awaited family vacation. The kitchen is updated with anything you need.The deocorating and furnishings are relaxed cottage style. The view and deck are worth every penny! Wrap around deck offers shade and a great breeze anytime of day. The ocean view is beautiful. Short walk to the beach on a path. The beach is your own-very private and quiet, but a short walk will get you to the pier and and actiivy. Will rent this house again!

We recently spent a week in this house. Location was wonderful. Couldn't have been better. The house was large and easily accommodated a large group. Décor and furnishings are old but comfortable. Only issue was the air conditioning which just couldn't keep up with the hot weather so it was a bit uncomfortable at night.

Wonderful location with easy access to the beach. The only few issues are that the bunk bedroom is quite small and the house gets very hot in the afternoon. The air condition has a difficult time keeping the house cool. The location and easy access to the beach make the lack of cooling easier to deal with.

The week was great. This home is very nice and the location and view are worth every cent. Loved the porch with all the rockers. Mattresses could be upgraded. Dishwasher needs to be replaced! Central air needs to be upgraded! Have stayed at this property for several years and will continue to bring the family and grandchildren back again and again!
