Centrally located between Boston and Cape Cod, Scituate is a quintessential seaside town with a working harbor and access to beaches, swimming, boating, fishing and hiking. Boston is about one hour north and is accessible by car, ferry or train while historic Plymouth is only a 30-minute drive south and Cape Cod only a little further. This home features 3,000+ sq. ft. of living space, 5 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, unobstructed views of the ocean and is steps from sandy Peggotty beach, all of which is located on a quiet, private way at the start of Third Cliff. The large front deck offers stunning ocean sunrises in the morning and full days of sunshine overlooking the water while the back deck allows for late afternoon sun, evening grilling and watches over the back yard which is suitable for games and activities. The home also offers a fully-equipped kitchen, a washer and dryer, an open floor plan with two large living areas, wireless internet, cable TVs, DVD player with DVDs, books, games, fireplace, wet bar, gas grill, outdoor furniture (including tables with umbrella and chairs, cushioned lounge chairs and Adirondack chairs), beach toys/chairs and a two-car garage with ample additional parking. Conveniently located just one mile from Scituate harbor allows quick access to cute shops & boutiques, pastry and coffee shops, great restaurants, ice cream shops, a movie theater, a grocery store, banks and a pharmacy. Superb location for swimming, boating, paddle boarding, surfing, walking, biking, golfing, fishing off the sea wall directly in front of the house and exploring everything the area has to offer. Please note, some furniture and decor may be different upon arrival and the home is not equipped with A/C, though fans are provided and the oceanfront location allows for breezes to easily circulate through the house. The home is stocked with a generous starter supply of paper and soap products but you may need to supplement this during your stay.

My family and I had a great week. The view can not be beat. It is very close to the beach and a little over a mile from a cute downtown that has a great coffee shop and multiple restaurants. The home itself is very spacious, clean and has everything you need for your stay. We will be back!

spacious & gracious, with 180 degrees of ocean views. the setting was most accommodating, with enough room for several family members to move about, find their own space & never feel on top of one another. loved learning about the history of scituate & the Irish roots. a restful, relaxing & cleansing getaway. thanks meredith, for sharing your space!

We’ve just returned home from one of the best vacations that our family has had. House was great and the location was absolutely perfect. My adult children and two grandchildren had perfect week. They all said we need to book this house again!

We traveled from Indiana to spend 2 weeks visiting family and friends and the house met our needs, with visitors’ ages ranging from 1 to seniors. Plenty of space and a variety of sleeping accommodations certainly helped! Weather was a challenge at times, with Hurricane Henri and then the remnants of Ida! Ocean was spectacular!

We could not have had a more lovely vacation in Scituate. We wanted a low key vacation (thanks to COVID) and this property provided everything we needed to do that. The deck is just wonderful. From sunrises in the morning to dinner in the evening, we could have spent the entire week on the deck. We had a couple of cold and rainy days, but the house was well equipped to warm us up and keep us entertained once we had spent enough time outside. Meredith was very responsive. We hope we will be able to stay again in the future. Thank you Meredith!

My daughter was informed back in March, as were her friends from other schools, that her graduation was being postponed due to COVID19. She and her friends worked very hard to achieve their goal of completing their undergrad degrees for a variety of majors and all graduated with high honors. This property couldn't have been more perfect...the view was absolutely stunning even the afternoon it rained. The backyard was perfect for our mock graduation ceremony. The house is open yet split up enough that we were never ALL in the same place at the same time. The house was clean and there was nothing I needed to bring as far as kitchen utensils, bowls, plates, glasses, etc. There was everything we needed. A gas grill on the back deck, the beautiful lawn in the backyard for lawn games...walking to Peggotty Beach...kids climbing on the rocks. We had an amazing time. The parking is more than ample...we had probably 10 spots and the garage was a godsend on the day I checked in, the skies opened up right at 3 as I was unloading my car from the outside but then opted for the garage and it worked perfectly. The recycling, trash organization was also a great bonus AND basking in the sun on that front deck was just amazing. The only thing that could've possibly made it better would be if we were still there :)

Check in was a breeze and we enjoyed the beautiful ocean views from the deck from the minute we got there. We walked to downtown for coffee every morning and then spent the days at the beach. We cooked in/grilled every night and enjoyed dinner on the deck. Plenty of space for our combined family vacation.

This is a spectacular location with a wonderful view, privacy, AND proximity to the beach. It's a perfect size for three couples and children, with a huge deck overlooking the ocean, a backyard for games, two living rooms, and a first level master suite. It's close to town, conservation area, and an easy drive to Scituate's 5 beaches. Very well equipped, and the owner is highly responsive.
