Welcome to OB Retreat — a spacious, beautifully maintained six‑bedroom home with sweeping harbour views and everything you need for a comfortable, restorative stay in one of Wellington’s most loved suburbs. With generous living areas, a well‑equipped kitchen, two bathrooms, and unlimited fibre wifi, it’s ideal for families, friends, and corporate groups.
Just one street back from the beach, OB Retreat offers the perfect balance of tranquillity and convenience. Cafés, Te Papa, Tākina, the waterfront, parks, and city walks are all moments away. The balcony is a favourite spot for morning coffee or unwinding as the harbour lights come on.
We live upstairs with separate access and are happy to help as much or as little as you desire.
We’re part of a close residential neighbourhood, so we ask guests to be mindful of noise and enjoy the space respectfully. This helps us keep OB Retreat a calm, welcoming place for everyone.

The location is perfect for the best beaches, and te papa museum, Weta workshop and shopping and paua diving! The host was wonderful and made sure there was a bed made up for each of our 14 people.It was a wonderful stay, a place we could make a big pot of soup on a could night and not have to go to a restaurant. Only slight downside ‘a lot of stairs’ due to being on the hill, but the view is worth it!
