About this farm stay rental

This house sets on 37.5 acres and is next to over 500 acres of treed government land next to Heyburn Lake. It is a story and one half and is only 100 yards from Heyburn Lake. Because of trees and government protection rules we cannot mow their property, so getting down to it there is grass and weed. One can't see the lake from the house in the summertime. It is located 11 miles West of Sapulpa. Features blooming flower gardens, big lawn with swings, hiking. The house has 7 bedrooms with 3 baths, a sitting area upstairs. It has 3 dining rooms, and a well equipped kitchen. It has an above ground (32' x 18') 42 inches deep swimming pool. There is a round patio with 6 porch swings all the way around with a big fire pit in the center, and a grill on the side. There is an area East of the green barn to shoot guns and a pond for fishing North of the barn. There is lots of privacy and quiet resting places, a porch swing, and porch rocking chairs. This house has Wi-Fi but otherwise is totally disconnected from television.
As you drive in you will pass our wedding venue on top of the hill. It seats 125 guests at tables and has a big kitchen and bridal suites.

The house is definitely country-style, and the inside still needs some work. The owner converted the garage into an apt, so you do see them coming & going throughout your stay.My biggest concern was that the owners' belongings were still throughout the house. Every closet was full of clothes, and several dressers still contained personal items. It made the home feel less like a rental and more like someone was still living there. The upstairs bed located in the hallway area also needs attention. Additionally, I was very disappointed that the pool was not cleaned and did not have water in it. We spent over 2,000 for this stay, and the property did not match the pictures advertised. While the owner offered a late checkout or an extra day, no discount was provided for the issues we experienced. Several of my friends chose to stay in hotels instead because they found the property to feel a bit creepy, which resulted in me spending more money than I anticipated. The owner was very sweet and responsive, which is where my positive comments come from. However, the master bedroom has some privacy concerns. The closet does not have a door, and there is an opening in the wall connecting to another room, making it difficult to use the bathroom comfortably. The closet was also full of belongings, contributed to an uneasy feeling during our stay. Overall, while the owner was kind, the property DIDNT meet our expectations for the price paid, and unfortunately, I do NOT see myself returning

We enjoyed our stay, biggest benefit to the location was quiet and the outdoor spaces were very nice with our grandkids. We just should have brought our electric skillet to aid with breakfast cooking. Unique house arrangement with a lot of character and places for kids to play and hide.

I wanted a place that my family could come to enjoy and just be together. The area is so quiet and the fire pit is amazing. We spent every night on the swings talking, laughing, and sharing stories with the younger ones. We took the kids fishing and got to pet the horses. Over all the place is amazing. P.S. There are 5 bedrooms all with very comfortable beds but I slept on the couch in the back sunroom, the cool breeze and the night sounds made for the best nights sleep.
