My family and I have stayed in vacation rentals throughout the US over many years. This house is by far the worst one. While the location is fabulous (close to good grocery stores and a wide range of activities and restaurants), the house itself needs updating. Here is a list of the problems: inadequate lighting in all of the rooms. (Some of the lights are supposed to work with remote mechanisms but those either did not have any batteries or were completely non-functioning.) Circuits that trip frequently and a circuit box that is totally inaccessible without a ladder which was not provided. WiFi was very slow, except in the dining room. There was a bad smell in the refrigerator. Filthy stove hood and vent above the alcove in the billiard room; dirty spotted living room carpet; sand in some of the drawers in the bedrooms; and an outdoor grill that had not been cleaned in some time. There was a fire flare-up after the gas was turned off. This is a major fire hazard. The sink garbage disposal did not function and the sink had a nasty smell. Not a single dish towel for drying dishes was provided. Neither a broom or any type of vacuum cleaner was provided to clean crumbs, etc. A tub faucet that had a serious leak. The lock in one of the bedrooms malfunctioned and my sister was locked out of the room. There are several loose tiles inside the house and loose bricks on the patio. The latter almost caused a serious fall.

Great house for spending time together with enough space to spend some quiet time by yourself. Light/fan switches could use some labels (not obvious what they controlled or how to turn some things on and off). Even at brightest setting, kitchen lights did not provide enough light at night for cooking. Instructions for convection oven would be helpful. Doors were a little hard to open and close. We did not get a chance to use the pool but it looked clean and beautiful. Overall we loved the property and will consider coming back!

Plenty of space for our family inside and out. Relaxing at the fire pit was a great way to end the day.

The charm of this home is wonderful. However if you are looking for a place to spend time with family, it is not it. Only one chair had a cushion by pool, roaches and tarantula were present. No maintenance being done and multiple windows cracked. It’s sad to see such a place with great views not being taken care of. I plugged up multiple holes and killed spiders in home. Outdoor grill area nasty, so we couldn’t use that either!

Family came to tucson to visit a very close relative with an illness that was not improving- it was very nice to be together and go to her house too but give her space and tranquility as much as she needed. The house and pool etc provided the family with a nice retreat - we didnt mind the old school tucson house - in fact we enjoyed it. Thank you for a positive visit.

The physical property and location are excellent. Interesting decor and reasonably stocked kitchen. Lots of room. Things the owner should fix to make it worth that price: Put bedside tables beside the two beds that have none, so guests have a place to put glasses, water bottle, retainer, phone. Put full-coverage curtains in living room and master bedroom; you can see neighbor car around curtains on small windows. Living room window facing street had no cover at all. Replace or wash curtains that are stained. If they can't fix sliders for glass doors, use wd-40 to keep them easy to open. I left a can there. It would be very easy to fix the front door handle, which is loose or comes off. If possible, fix the two cracked glass doors and ripped screen on glass door. Pest control; seal bottom of door by laundry, critters can come in under door. Huge roach on bathroom wall first night, kept lights on the entire trip. Have no way of knowing if they go on counters and dishes in kitchen, kept all food in fridge. Label light switches. It's very hard to figure out how to do lights. Fix lights/lamps that don't work. Fix paint jobs in bathrooms and shower; put light bulb in west shower. Replace shower liners (moldy). Put a square extension cord in kitchen; hard to find outlets, and some don't take 3 prongs. I'd get new sofas and patio furniture. I'd clear clutter in some of the closets and work on the smell of the closet in bedroom with easel as art. Add lamps in bedrooms for better and easy light. Get ice and water service working in fridge; replace water filter. Clarify what to do with garbage bins on street. Cool things: Decor, chandeliers, pool table, TV, pool (remove fence??), space, floors, location. The condition of the house os motel quality. For the price, I'd expect hotel quality. Wouldn't take much to make the home more comfortable and amenable to a wide range of guests. I can't recommend the house as it is. I didn't find reviews that talk about these things until after I made my booking. I would have chose differently based on roaches and no curtains in living room. Some issues reported in April 2022 reviews.

A beautiful and unique home with lots of room. A stunning backyard with a pool and great outdoor cooking area and seating!!! We were a family of 10 adults celebrating our son’s graduation. Had plenty of room. The only thing was it could have and a better equipped kitchen for cooking.
