About this house rental
Located in Lanesborough, this charming house for $175 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Private, unique getaway in the center of the Berkshires. We're a 3 minute walk to the Ashuwillticock rail trail. Situated on over 100 wooded acres with lots of walking trails, extraordinary trees, land forms and private seating areas and spaces to explore. The cottage is a newly built. Super comfortable space above a stand alone 3 car garage. We have a private entry driveway and parking area exclusive to cottage. Open floor plan with fun window seats, full kitchen and living room and full bath. It's a unique thoughtful design.

I really want to share this secret little slice of heaven in the Berkshires. My husband and I were visiting my dad for a few days. This spot in the woods is a few short miles from him. This sweet little garage apartment is so perfect for our time together. This is a special place with so many crafted little details. When you open the door you are greeted by a beautiful staircase and breathtaking copula. Then when you top the stairs you see the two very cozy window seats. There are several design elements that I love. the bureau in the wall is space saving and a quirky little thing that I love! The bathroom space is very nice, I just love the elevated sink with waterfall faucet. I have to say the bed is actually super comfortable, along with the amazing pillows, comfy sheets and warm blankets. The beautiful maple flooring is warmed by radiant Heating to make this little dream so cozy. I could go on and on, but I think you just better check it out yourself! Thanks for sharing your space for a few days

Excellent location that is extremely quiet and conveniently located near Pittsfield. Nice kitchen and a good amount of space including nice cute window nook that we really enjoyed. Easy access to the bike path and other attractions in the area.

Arrived and found it very comfortable! Talked to the very gracious owner and got the skinny on the best restaurants and all of them were 5 Star! Would definitely go back for more time next year!

Chris was a wonderful host! The cottege was extremely clean and updated. In the perfect location to the rail trail and not far from restraunts, stores and tanglewood. The property was beautiful as well. Chris gave great recommendations for dinner and things to do in the area. Thank you Chris we will return in the future!

Stayed in Christopher's lovely cottage while visiting family in the area. Very nicely done space perfect for two people. Very close to the beautiful Ashuwilliticock trail for cycling, and not far from other attractions: hiking the trails around Mt. Greylock and a visit to the Clark Institute (wonderful art museum) in Williamstown.

We had a wonderful weekend at the Carriage House. The photos show the nice secluded location, but it is only a few turns from shopping centers, grocery stores, and downtown Pittsfield. The nearby rail trail is newly paved and a beautiful walk through the woods. The apartment has all necessities for a great getaway in the Berkshires!

Cottage was a great getaway spot. I loved the availability of natural areas for walking, birding and looking for bugs. I was able to put out lights to attract moths and got some good pictures and 41 species of moths. It turned out exactly as I had hoped except for too much rain. The only problem was the bed. Your set-up is not really designed for mature bodies that might have to get up in the middle of the night. No way to exit on one side without climbing over partner. I slept on the sofa which turned out OK. Enjoyed meeting Robert and hearing about the development of the property. Plus we were close to good food. And followed Robert's recommendations.

Now this was technically a standalone building that you have to yourself but from the pictures posted we never noticed that it's in fact 50ft from the main house. None of the photos posted included that fact and was a bit of a surprise when we arrived. Other than that, great space, fire pit outside, AC didn't work while we were there but it wasn't the end of the world.

This beautiful, clean studio had everything we needed for our short stay in the Berkshires. It was a private, quiet location but close to major routes too. I would highly recommend if you're in the area.

Driveway needs better signage and lighting if you arrive after dark. Nice 1/2 mile walk through woods to nearby wetland. We will be back.

The cottage is the perfect spot for a getaway to the Berkshires! Safe, secluded, peaceful, yet close enough to explore the many towns nearby.
It was spotlessly clean with a full kitchen and very comfortable bed. The window seats were a wonderful place to enjoy my coffee every morning. Very well thought out use of space…Two separate sitting areas and a nice size closet.
Not to mention lots of wooded trails to explore right outside your door!
