It was clean and functional

The parking information on the description is not up to date as the car parks recommended don’t permit overnight stays. Also the damage deposit (£350 while refundable is super excessive) and the £40 non refundable damage waiver was a hidden extra. Room advertised at £102 but in reality was £142 so just advertise at £142

absolutely outstanding hosts! Lucky was fantastic understood our checkin situation and went the extra mile to help us. location was great, I didn't realise how popular and lively the village is. we were in room 10, very comfortable bed, the best double glazing I've ever seen and a brilliant tray of tea making etc glasses. fluffy brilliant white towels and bedding and a lovely touch of complementary toiletries. and a freestanding fan. great furnishings, modern mixed with character. lots of nice details. attractive entrance and reception lobby. Instructions were good, always lovely to speak to the host, nice touch.

My sister was in Room 7 sadly whoever was in there before her had been smoking in the room, so was unpleasant and I think they took everything that wasn't screwed down as no toilet roll, no complimentary toiletries no tea or milk sachets and although the room had great features, it was hot and stuffy. She didn't sleep as well as I did. The building needs some money spent on it but I doubt Lucky has the Freehold so not a reflection on his air BnB business.

They lack a number of amenities. They don’t have a single receptionist even in the day to help answers some questions only if you reach out to the owner. They don’t have microwave to warm food so get ready for your food to get spoilt. They don’t have iron to at least straighten an outfit. The bathroom is VERY SMALL (emphasis on VERY). A whole hotel’s AC wasn’t working at the time of our stay and the owner had to add one more fan which wasn’t blowing properly rather was blowing heat LOL.
