Situated in South Chatham, this lovely house for $524 per night is a great option for your next break. You will begin to relax the moment you settle into this private family beach retreat. Newly renovated kitchen with quartz “Sea Glass” countertops, backsplash and Nantucket farm sink. Truly a well equipped cooks kitchen. This year round low allergen, open concept home has 3 bedrooms, 2 newly updated baths, new Central AC, large two level outdoor deck with electric retractable awning, creating a comfortable outdoor room with high end patio furniture overlooking beautifully landscaped yard. Sleeps 6-8 comfortably and has a queen sleeper sofa bed for up to 10 guests. All rooms are nicely appointed with your comfort in mind. Designed to be a peaceful and serene retreat with high end details and artwork throughout. The master bedroom has a private newly renovated en suite bath, new king memory/gel infused mattress. The guest/kids bedroom has four nautical inspired design bunk beds children just love, a TV with Wii player. The 3rd bedroom has a queen bed also with a new Simmons Beauty Rest mattress. The sun-room - great room has the queen sleeper sofa. Spacious open concept with, fully equipped eat-in kitchen with a large skylight including new high end ‘Elite' dishwasher. Eat in kitchen is an open concept to the living room with fireplace and bright sun room with cathedral ceiling and more skylights with a slider doors leading out to the spacious rear deck overlooking flower beds and vegetible & herb gardens for your use and enjoyment. This outdoor space has a new Weber Genesis grill with sear station for perfect outdoor gourmet meals. This home sits on the desirable south of RT 28, Nantucket Sound ocean side at the end of a cul-de-sac where kids can safely run, bike and play while parents enjoy this great living space. Situated at the end of a cul-de-sac it is very quiet with bird life galore. So peaceful all you hear is the ocean at night. This home comes equipped with a variety of amenities including high speed wifi, Xfinity on Demand cable TV with several movie channels and new flat screen smart HDTV with voice activated remote control, Blu-Ray-DVD and lots of board games. The large outdoor deck has an electric retractable sun awning & commercial gas grill. Also included is a new front load washer dryer with the steam sanitizing features, ceiling fan. In the event of a power outage there is even a dual fuel generator on deck to power the whole home. All the creature comforts and more you would expect at home. Totally newly renovated, freshly painted walls new kitchen and maple hardwood floors throughout, ready for the season. This bright, exceptionally clean, relaxing cape style home is only a 5 to 10 minute walk to forest beach, a natural beach on the warm waters of Nantucket sound. Spend your days relaxing in your beach chair or take advantage of the fair winds to windsurfer or sail at forest and pleasant beaches. When you get hungry, it’s an easy walk back to the house for lunch, or choose to walk right up to the local coffee shop wine bar or restaurant. Additionally, the 26-mile Cape Cod bike trail is only a 5 minute ride and easily accessed. We even provide a selection of quality bikes in a variety of sizes for our adult guests and children to enjoy, including a couple Cannondale’s, Gary Fisher, even a beautiful adult Bermuda bicycle built for two, Trek Trainer and a Schwinn double tandem which attaches to one of the adult bikes. We also provide beach gear, chairs, umbrella and beach towels to help make your days at the beach even more relaxing. The outdoor shower is perfect for cleaning up after your perfect day at beach. The property is in a very nice neighborhood - a quiet and private area. Walkable to the beach. It was in excellent condition and clean. The recent remodeling/updating is fantastic. Bike supply was terrific and we biked to the beach and the local rail to trail. Landlord was very communicative, generous and helpful. I highly recommend this home.

We had a fantastic family vacation with grandparents, our 2-year old child, and our mini goldendoodle! The house is in a beautiful neighborhood in South Chatham - quiet, private, and a short 0.6 mile walk (or drive) to the beach. The beach is long and great for walking on and for finding sea shells. Chatham downtown (restaurants, shops, etc) is only about a 10-12 minute drive. The house itself is very clean and in great condition and many of the spaces appear to be newly updated. This is a perfect family space with multiple sitting rooms and communal areas. The kitchen was fully stocked, and the beds were comfortable. John (the owner) is really on top of everything, and made sure we had everything we needed! There are also lots of bikes available in the garage. We would definitely stay again! Thank you!

We had a lovely stay at this house in Chatham. The location is great the neighborhood is lovely and a close walk to the beach. The house is beautifully maintained and equipped with a lot of high-end features that made the stay truly enjoyable. I cannot recommend it enough.

Batteries fully recharged!
I loved the Cape Escape! My friends and I thought the home was even more beautiful than the photographs - sunny interior with room to spend time together and little nooks for "me time" also. Beds were very comfortable and the home was spotless. My only regret is that I am not there now. Location is perfect in a quiet neighborhood and easy driving distance to beach or main street. The beach is also an easy bike ride away and very private. John and Ruth are terrific hosts. I would go back in a heartbeat. If you have kids, definitely check out the natural history museum - it's only 7 miles away and worth the trip.

Felt right at home!
This home has an amazing balance of elegance and that welcoming "homie" feeling to it. Its a great size for two couples and kids. Location was great since you can get to a few different parts of the Cape fairly easily. Biking to the beach was a highlight of the trip. The patio was the perfect spot to wind down at night. John was an amazing host who made sure we had everything we needed before and during the trip. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Wonderful 'Cape Escape'
We had a fabulous 2 week stay at 'Cape Escape'. This is the perfect home for a family vacation. The home is spotless with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. A beautiful deck and back yard were enjoyed by my entire family. John's recommendations for both ocean beach and pond were spot on. I highly recommend! Thanks John

John, the owner, was excellent about communicating with us in a timely fashion and doing whatever he could to improve our visit. We had people ages 5-50 staying in the home. Even though we were rained out the entire weekend and could not enjoy most of the outdoor amenities he had available (i.e. grill, back porch, beach equipment), our entire group enjoyed the leisurely 4 minute bike ride to the private beach. There were so many bikes provided, including a bicycle built for 2, with which we had fun. The home is in a very quiet cul-de-sac so there were no cars zooming by. We felt comfortable with our kids playing outside. Our only suggestion would be to provide linens and incidentals (shampoo, bath soap, replacement paper towels, etc). For short term vacation rentals where one is hoping to pack lightly, sheets and towels for 10 people and incidentals took up 2 suitcases worth of room for us. It was extremely difficult to place sheets on the highest of the bunk beds which was much higher than a standard top bunk. However our boys enjoyed this bunk bed room and it was great for the kids.

We had an amazing stay in Chatham, MA.
The weather was beautiful, we could easily walk to the beach or ride one of the many provided bikes (which was great!!). The house was clean, the rooms were nice and big. Lots of room to sit quietly and read or play games with the family. John was great to work with. Overall a very relaxing vacation.

Great Stay!
I booked this property over the Thanksgiving holiday and it was wonderful! John, the owner, was wonderful to work with and was able to offer flexibility with an earlier check-in and later check-out. The house interior is tastefully decorated and well-cared for, and the use of bikes on property was great, and the beach is just a short walk and we enjoyed watching the evening sunset. I highly recommend renting the property And hope to book again this summer.

Perfect Property
My wife, two teenage kids and I spent a long Columbus Day weekend at this wonderful property. The location was great. It was a short drive to downtown Chatham, and a number of other nice cape towns. It was a short walk, or really short bike ride down to beautiful and walkable Forest Beach. The house feels like home the moment you walk in the door. Arriving at the property was super easy. The house is immaculately clean, comfortable and very tastefully decorated. John was an excellent host, and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. Next time we're in the Chatham area, I won't have to bother looking for another property to stay in, because this one was perfect for me and my family...Thanks John!

My family (including kids) enjoyed our stay at Chatham escape. The house has everything you need and more. Great location, close to the pond and beach. I highly recommend this place, John -the property manager - was reachable at all time for questions about the area or places to go. We are very grateful he let us bring our two dogs. We are already planning to return next year!

Cape Escape outside of Chatham
The home was perfectly sized and laid out for a family of 5 (including 8, 12, and 14 year olds). We greatly appreciated the incredibly well-stocked kitchen, the abundance of bikes and boogie boards, and quiet cul-de-sac. We also greatly appreciated the opportunity to bring our little dog. The home is within walking distance of a tennis court, bike trails, and beach. While the beach was too calm for our kids, it might be great for a family with little ones. If I could change, it would be the outdoor shower which is open. Therefore, we enjoyed the master bedroom shower which has a cool beach motif including the floor. The owner was excellent at communicating throughout.

Cape Cod Retreat
We had a wonderful stay at John & Ruby's home in August, 2019. It's a peaceful respite at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac away from the hectic summer Cape crowds, beautifully maintained yet convenient both to drive to Chatham, or to walk to the spotless local beach, less than a half mile walk away.
John was there to greet us and show us the home, and was available by phone literally 24/7 to quickly respond to all our needs. We especially loved both the gorgeous master bath shower and the outdoor shower, which is totally open, yet not observable from neighbors as the house is surrounded by trees
Our kids came from NYC w/partners for one weekend and the house was fine with all six of us there, and our little dog enjoyed chasing rabbits in the yard, and daily walks thru the woods and around the neighborhood.
All in all, everyone had a goood time.

John was very helpful throughout our stay. The house was perfect for our family of 3 kids- bikes were amazing and cul de sac/neighborhood tennis court for playing! We loved everything about Chatham and the area close to both forest beach and the cape cod bike trail. We spent two weeks and weren’t bored for a minute. Thank you!!

Cute Clean Chatham House On Quiet Street!
John’ family house was perfect for a birthday getaway long weeeked, this mostly modernized house was just the right amount of quiet but close to town, and at most a 10 min walk to a great local beach.
House was well stocked and John was one of the more attentive and proactive owners I have had the pleasure of renting from having used HomeAway a bunch in the past.
We will definitely consider this property again if we stay in this part of the cape👍�
