About this house rental
Situated in Indian Beach, this lovely house for $176 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. "Sound & SeaDogs Flat" is a great vacation getaway just steps from the beach on one side and the sound on the other! This single story 2 bedroom/1 bath bungalow is pet friendly and has all of the amenities including kitchen with full size refrigerator, stove and dishwasher, open concept dining and living area and a laundry closet with over/under washer dryer. Two bedrooms (Bedroom 1 King bed, Bedroom 2 two Twins) complete the 800 sqft beach getaway. The 16ft adjoining patio with outdoor dining seating and gas grill provides for relaxing evenings after a day in the sun. Access to an outdoor shower is available. A private paved driveway entrance has room for 3 cars or a combination of car, boat & trailer (

Just what the doctor ordered! The accommodations were quite comfortable. The weather was beyond perfect for early November and we loved the uncrowded beach! The only negative of our trip was that so many of the restaurants that we wanted to try were already closed for the season! It’s sad that full time residents can’t go to the Crab Shack during the winter months! Even the dogs settled in and they loved their walks! Thank you for a sweet place to rest and renew.

Great location. The beach is beautiful. It was so perfect that I proposed to my girlfriend on the beach and she said yes. We’ll definitely be back. Brian was a wonderful host.

Loved how clean our bungalow was. We wanted to be close to Salter Path, so location was excellent. Kitchen was well stocked. Beach access was great! Owners left a nice bottle of welcoming wine. I will definitely request again! Highly recommend!

The king sized bed was very comfortable—I don’t normally sleep well when I’m away from home but I did here. The couches were also comfortable and the rest of the house suited our needs well. We loved how easy it was to get to the beach!

The property was perfect for our family. It is very close to the beach and the sound- which allows beach days to be less stressful and more relaxing! Early morning fishing was also super convenient due to location. It is very clean and we slept comfortably on the beds. The owners are available and easy to contact. Brian is knowledgeable about things to do in the area which proved to be helpful! We hope to stay again next season! If you need a quiet relaxing getaway this is the place!!

Our stay was great. The house was clean with an open floor plan, close to the beach, on a bike path, and great for little kids. We enjoyed several local restaurants and the North Carolina aquarium in Pine Knoll Shores. We would definitely recommend the house.

Loved that this rental was dog friendly. It’s often hard to find a vacation rental in a great location that also allows larger dogs. Our girl loves the beach so we could never leave her at home. The rental was very clean and the property manager and owners are very hospitable and great communicators. We hope to visit again next year!

Nice clean property with very easy ocean access. Centrally located on the island for quick trips to the pointe or the fort. Property manager was very accommodating and helpful. Would recommend and will look at a return trip in the future.

It's the perfect size for a couple or a small family, very clean and inviting and well kept. The owners even left us a bottle of wine to enjoy in our first night. The house also has a nice little deck area with a gas grill and a table with umbrella where you can sit out and enjoy a meal, and a couple of grassy areas where our dog could use the bathroom, and a place to hose off her sandy paws. The area is just a few minutes drive from several restaurants, a Publix, and a couple of Food lions, plus some nice little parks where we launched outlet kayaks. It was quiet but still convenient to just about everything. Check in and check out were very easy- Brian the property manager met us to give us the key and gave us a lot of great recommendations for places to eat and things to do. We were very happy with our stay and would gladly stay at this cute little house again.

This location is the best for 1 minute walk to the beach. Small space, but roomy enough for 4 guys on a fishing weekend to have plenty of room.
Brian , our host , was so great! He even offered places to park for access to the sound side near a public access.

We were in the area to visit our daughter and family. The cottage was just right. The grandbabies came to visit and loved walking on the beach. Brian was great and checked on us the day hurricane Ian passed by the area. We'll be back!
