Gorgeous cottage nestled in the heart of Glentrool Village, a 5 min drive from the visitors centre (if that).
Great selection of leaflets on the local area as well as walks that start from the cottage.
Met Dave who was great and communication with Beth and Dave has been fantastic.
A great hub for days out - so much to do and you don't have to travel far.
Would definitely stay again.

Being distant, quiet, peaceful..perfect place for escaping city life and recharging. Right in the heart ❤️ of galloway JUST AMAZING PLACE

Had everything we needed. The kitchen has excellent with plenty of cutlery, mugs, glasses, pots and pans etc. Bathroom very nice and lots of hot water whenever we needed it! Beds were comfortable. Nice touch was the fireplace - we didn’t use or need it but it would have been perfect if the weather had been bad.
A small bedroom mirror would have been useful.
The conservatory - which was part of the attraction for staying there and keeping warm in whilst looking at the night sky - well, the roof was not clear so couldn’t see upwards and windows covered in winter algae so couldn’t really see out of them either. Felt a little disappointed. We sat outside instead but not for long as it was really cold (the salt gritters had been out earlier!)
