Superb
Lovely hostel. Good size room and nice facilities. Staff were soo nice and helpful. Lovely garden area to sit out in and great location. Bicycle hire was free and soo handy to get down to the beach and staff can arrange motor cycle hire for you.
There were a lot of ants in the room at night. And the light above the bed didn't work.

lovely cosy stay here
It had such a lovely quiet location with some great stalls, cafes and restaurant near by and a tourist attraction waterfall which you could also hear from the communal area, it was so pretty and relaxing, you don’t need any aircon as it was nice and cool just with the fan and shaded area, shower was brilliant and all very clean and tidy, bed felt very secure safely nailed to the wall, the owners were so welcoming, caring and very kind and even took us to the ferry in the morning, we used the free bicycles to go to 7/11 which was a great ride and very fun, the drying airers, drinking water, microwave and free coffees etc were also a big bonus, you can’t go wrong for the price here especially if you want to escape from the busy areas of the island!

Place felt like a prison
- good location - very clean
I've already spoken to the managers about my bad experience and apologies were offered. However, I feel people (especially solo travelers like me who appreciate their privacy and a good night sleep) should know what they might get into. The managers are not at the hostel in the evening and at midnight. When I arrived (feeling very sick), there was a big French group, starting drinking at 9PM till 2AM. With no surveillance, and thus accepting groups, one might expect people start to behave like they own the hostel. That's exactly what happened. To me, this place felt like a prison. The rooms are extremely small, and they're directly linked to the common area. That door is a weird one; hard to open and you can hear everything. I arrived very sick at the hostel around 9PM. I kindly asked them if they could keep it down for the night. However, they didn't seem to give a ****. I texted the managers if they could come down to talk to the group, but they only send a message to them. Didn't help. I talked to them again: they were too drunk to even understand what I was saying. I feel that the managers should take much more responsibility towards their guests. You can't just leave them and expect everything to go well... One of the worst hostel experiences ever. (Especially when you're sick.)
