The house offers a great location with easy access to the beach and shopping nearby. The house was well stocked and had everything that our large family needed. Our only complaint is that the property was not particularly clean upon arrival. We found dirty dishes, poorly swept floors, trash outside, and at least one half full beer bottle under a child's bed that was covered in ants. I would recommend switching cleaning companies. Given the price paid (including a separate cleaning fee) we expected better.

Large, roomy, well equipped with kitchen needs. Enough comfortable furniture in great room seat 16 guests in padded couches or chairs, even four rockers. Plenty of table chairs to surround both tables. Bedrooms all nice size with space around bed and extra chair or couch in each Bed comfortable each with an attractive comforter on each. Deck had a few stains from past spills or grill splatter, bur was well constructed and solid floor, rails, and stairs. Parks three full size cars in driveway with space around them to easily open your doors. All appliance worked, including a countertop icemaker, which was much easier than ice trays. Double sided galley kitchen with little countertop space, but big bar with drawers and cabinets in great room made up the extra space to set stuff out. All three full baths were with tubs and showers, Greata water pressure and plenty of hot water. Great new hardwood floors throughout upstairs and downstairs, including baths. Only carpet on mid-landing in stairway to lower level. Had outside enclosed shower and garden hose for rinsing off sand. Was ready on time as promised, and entry methos worked perfectly for locking and unlocking. We had nine adults with plenty of room for everybody, even in the hallways, and had bed space leftover. Some wear and tear showing on inside wall and windows trim, but no impact on utility. Throw pillows on practically every couch, chair, and bed. Plenty of extra blankets.

One of the bedrooms smelled so moldy musty that we couldn’t use it. The rug upstairs in the hallway smelled like throw up very strongly. The rugs were very stained in the great room and hallway. The blender was broken so we couldn’t make drinks. We did manage to have a great time with the. Location and May go back but hoping the owner would pull all the rugs and put down vinyl flooring. Otherwise it was a cottage and enjoyed our stay

We had the best time during Thanksgiving break. The house is big, cozy, and comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped to produce a Thanksgiving dinner for 8. It’s an older home, with a lot of character. The manager was super responsive to our questions. Overall, great stay!

The location was great, and the house is very nice for groups with plenty of seating areas to congregate inside and outside of the house.

The owner should not be allowed to offer it as a vacation rental until it is fit for residents. The house has too many things that are broken and do not work. It appears the owner only replaces or repairs something when renters complain. There are so many issues, renters only complain about most pressing, leaving other significant issues for next renters. The house was not clean upon entry. Had to wipe down all surfaces (including the highchair, which had crusted food on it), sand poured out of the bathroom mats, chunks of soap in showers, a blanket hung across a window, dog hair on the carpets, despite not allowing pets, and dirty dishes in the dishwasher, because it did not drain and we found out owner knew about this problem. Rather than send plumber, he sent carpenter, who told us owner is tight with money. The carpenter wasn’t able to resolve this issue and we had to help him fix the drainage problem which was actually from when he improperly installed the disposal. Downstairs toilet did not work for three days and we learned the owner knew about this also and was a result of a significant septic issue that the owner hasn’t addressed. All the toilets flush extremely slowly because of this. Water leak in the laundry room with standing water. Bottom shelf in refrigerator is broken, preventing food storage. Blinds do not work and need to be pulled up and down by hand. Doorknobs do not work. Bedroom doors do not easily close, if at all. One broken bedroom door handle traps occupants in the room. Exterior door requires slamming to close. Sliding patio door only partially opens. Furniture falling apart. One seat in the loveseat is sprung. Chairs torn and cushioning falling out. Recliners don’t work and lever arms are broken off. Deck chairs are broken. Random trash and broken furniture shoved into areas that are accessible to guests--making the house seem run-down and unsafe. The outdoor shower is unusable. It is grown over and directly across pile of trash. Rotting bags of charcoal next to the g rill. Rusting propane tank. Advertised as TV in every room-not true. Found a TV in one of the closets. Random trash compactor installed in the kitchen--no instructions. Missing a knob. Looks to be at least 40 years old. Except kitchen, every cupboard and closet is full of junk. Vacuums, TVs, and unidentifiable pieces of things. Only 2 plastic wineglasses despite four queen bedrooms. Food from previous renters left in freezer and cupboards.

The outdoor shower area isn't great, the deck chairs could use an upgrade, and the kitchen is tight if you have multiple families. But the common living area provides a great room for everyone to gather and enjoy the ocean views, though. The property owner was responsive to the few questions we had and we all had an awesome week at the beach.

The location for this house is wonderful! It’s a very comfortable house for our multi-generation family. We had plenty of space to both hang out together and to spread out :). It is “well-loved,” and we had some sandy plumbing - I think just a function of being near the beach. As long as we kept everything wiped down, and didn’t all shower at once, it all worked fine.

Great location and that is what this house is about. Views and access to the beach. Beds and bathrooms were good so you can sleep and get clean! Kitchen is well stocked. Bar area came in handy. Downside - older furniture, need to make sure you push the fridge closed, carpets -- try as you might sand gets into the house when you are on a dune. Solid surface floor would be much easier to keep clean. All in all - felt like a vintage Nags Head vacation! We had a great time.

Can’t beat being 100 feet from the beach. Yes it is an older beach home, but it was great. Beds were comfortable. Roomy house. Kitchen was a little on the small size for us “cooks” but we made do. Steak knives were sparse, but enough bigger knives to go around. Would definitely rent again!!!

My friends and I really enjoyed our stay at this house. It was spacious and a very close walk to the beach. Overall, this house was perfect and we would love to rent it again!
