This property is all about the views and they are truly exceptional. The accommodation is spaced well apart and feels very private. The wood fire was perfect for the winter cold.

The property was very grotty. The views were amazing but the windows needed a good clean and a bug/spider spray to fully enjoy it. The range hood did not work and the grease trap was full of grease. The cupboards were greasy too. We resorted to toasties for 2 nights rather than cooking without ventilation. The table was very sticky too and there were bits of rubbish in the sofa cushions and under the sofa. The septic smell increased over the time we stayed and became so strong we left a day early. Very disappointing given the price and location. This looks like it used to be an excellent property but is now very tired and even the views were not enough to keep us there.

Exceptional

The views, the facilities, the comfort that made you feel instantly at home. the kitchen was well set up and stocked with what you need in abundance and a treat was the Chromecast so the partner didn't have to worry about missing the footy. The area is fully fenced in which was a luxury since we were travelling with our dog. Ample fire wood for the fire place. John is an exceptionally friendly host that made a point to stop in on our second day and check that out stay was everything we hoped it was. And it absolutely was! One Tree Hill has curated an amazing gateway that I instantly want to return to. I was well aware that they don't supply bedding before they ask for payment and that all waste should be taken with you down to the road since the council doesn't service the farm. None of this bothered me since you don't really accumulate much trash in a weekend, and as for the bedding, for a small nominal fee of $20 they can supply bedding that is ready to go when you arrive. There are 3 separate units that make up One Tree Hill with fencing around each to ensure privacy. We quickly forgot there was anyone else around except the cows. They wandered around and added to the views.

I'm not complaining about this, because I understood it before booking. One Tree.Hill is on a working farm and the highest point of the hills to maximise the views. So when booking you need to accept that dodging cow pies when you open and close the 4 gates from the farm entrance to your unit will be part of the deal. But really it's so beautiful up there you'll hardly want to drive down during your stay (so best to come fully stocked with groceries, snacks, drinks, etc)

heaps of gates. after booking the stay, then we had to pay the sheets and towels. After the booking, then we received the full information, gates, remove the rubbish, etc.

Dead rodent smell ruined our visit and half our group couldn't stay.

Great location

The main bedroom/ensuite couldn't be used because of a strong dead rodent smell coming through the wall. We were travelling with another couple and they couldn't stay at all as a result. Although the manager was very helpful, the owner refused to refund more than 25% of the charge which we thought was very unfair. We couldn't ask the other couple to pay in the circumstances so we ended up paying more for a fairly dismal experience. Even then the owner did not refund the money for 6 weeks and we had to keep chasing payment.

Breath taking views

Breath taking views from the building. Very quiet location. Kitchen had all the facilities for cooking. Hot water was running smoothly. It was very easy to collect keys. Wifi was working without any issues.

we had to bring our linens. Guests have to take back the rubbish. Closest town is Toora which is 10 minutes drive. Not many food options are there. Next town is Foster. 2 main grocery shops were there. Not many takeaway shops.

Spectacular views, a unique experience that we loved 🥰

The view was spectacular! The bed was so comfy. It was also great to have the cows around 🐮 I loved everything about this property!!!

It could do with a fire pit overlooking the view bit otherwise everything was fantastic!

we expected a privacy, the owner came to the door without informing us before. the smell in the property can not be removed and the rugs are dirty need a change. however there is noticeable change in the property from last time, we wish to continue improving the interior.
