The view from the balcony was fab and the staff very friendly

The location is perfect with a wide and brilliant sea view, great for sunsets. The house is brilliantly decorated as a seaside house. The staff is absolutely amazing and helpful at all times. Me and Michael had one of the best times ever. We’ll definitely go back. Just a little note, the house is down the mountain and include many access steps.
This property worth it all.

After reading the reviews, I arrived expecting a much worse experience than what I actually found. In my opinion, the current rating does not reflect the reality of this hostel.
The property was clean and well maintained throughout my stay. The room, bedding, bathrooms and common areas were all tidy, and the staff were friendly, welcoming and flexible. Wi-Fi worked well, the kitchen was fully equipped, and the dorms have only four beds, which makes for a much more comfortable stay than many larger hostels.
I was also pleasantly surprised by the facilities: secure metal lockers with keys, a large terrace with beautiful coastal views, and a location just minutes from the beach.
I noticed several reviews mentioning blocked shower drains. Having stayed in many seaside hostels, apartments and hotels, including higher-end properties, I can say this is a very common issue in coastal accommodation. Sand inevitably finds its way into drainage systems when guests return from the beach, and drainage systems are designed for water, not sand. For that reason, occasional drainage issues are not unique to this property and can be found at coastal accommodation of all standards. During my stay, however, the showers drained perfectly well and I experienced no problems at all. I would therefore encourage travellers to view this issue in the wider context of beachside accommodation rather than as a reflection of the overall quality of the hostel.
For the price, especially considering the proximity to the ocean, I found it to be very good value. If, like me, you were hesitant because of the rating, I would suggest judging the place for yourself. It deserves considerably more credit than its current score suggests.

In summertime very close to beach. Only beach, nothing else around (proper shop 7 km away)
Very cold all the time. Add sayid private kitchen and coffee maker in every room. Same kitchen for all visitors and even there was no coffee machine. Was some sort of italian coffee maker what was last cleaned many years ago.
