This Vintage Rustic cabin, primarily designed for the camping & fishing enthusiast, is just one cabin of a 7 cabin resort. This cabin was built in the late 1920's and holds every bit of that vintage character. It may be a little rough around the edges but this authentic cabin holds the wonderful allure of days gone by. Electrical outlets would have been added a few years later and air conditioning wasn’t even thought of at that time. Those details won't matter to the outdoorsy kind coming for the camping experience where lake activity fills your day and evenings are enjoyed around the campfire. This charming cabin has a knotty pine interior and all the basics to create an Up North camping style atmosphere. A lifestyle one will appreciate becoming acquainted with. All the cabins are lined up next to each other along the shore of a beautifully serene lake. This close proximity to other cabins have traditionally created a friendly community style atmosphere where guests mingle and create lasting friendships. This is the kind of place where your grandparents brought your parents, your parent’s brought you, and you are now bringing your children to create beautiful memories while spending a nostalgic vacation in a familiar old cabin. This cabin is 431 sq ft and sleeps a family of 6 utilizing 2 bedrooms, each with a queen size bed and a futon in the living room. There's a kitchen with everything to cover your basic needs, a dinning space and a simple bathroom that includes a warm shower. The spacious 13'x7' enclosed porch overlooking the lake is the perfect place to enjoy your coffee and watch the morning sunrise. Whether you are looking for a home base to camp at the lake or a base camp while you explore the area’s attractions, you will enjoy this cozy cabin and all its imperfections. More than anything, you’re gonna love the authentic charm and the carefree lifestyle that comes with camping Up North. Pets are welcome on the property for an additional fee of $25 per night / per pet, paid at time of arrival if not otherwise paid. This includes pets of your visitors to the property. Free Parking is available for 1 vehicle per cabin. 1 boat/trailer per cabin is also free but are required to be parked in designated area elsewhere on the property. Extra vehicles require a $25 per day fee and must also be parked in a designated area elsewhere on the property. This includes vehicles of your visitors to the property.

The location was 10 minutes from Mackinaw. The local restaurant had an amazing breakfast and the local bar was in walking distance. Had a perfect weekend!

We stayed for a couple of nights with our dogs and it was a perfect place for what we needed. It was right next to Lake Paradise- peaceful, quiet, and beautiful. Cabin # 1 was rustic and quaint. It has a fridge, microwave, oven, and fireplace. The property manager was responsive and nice. I would recommend this property to my family and friends.

This place is a great base camp for all your adventures in the area. Beautiful sunrises over the lake to start the day. Then a great place to relax after a long day with fire by the lake. The owner Richie is always there to greet the quests.

My mom, fiancé, and two dogs really enjoyed our stay. Owner was on site so that made it really nice to buy firewood and he could answer any question we had. The water was gorgeous. I highly recommend watching the sunrise!

A very comfortable and relaxing place to stay. We were there for three nights/four days. It is everything the web site says it is. Very conveniently located for access to area attractions-Mackinaw Island, Wilderness State Park, Dark Skies Park, McGulpin Lighthouse, Old Mackinaw Lighthouse, and more. Paradise Lake has a reputation for excellent fishing, but we did not try our luck at that.

The sunrise and sunsets are just beautiful, YES cabins are rustic and over century old, and I loved that part, only issue was septic system i think, but the owner was johnny on the spot to make sure it was fixed during our stay, and did say it wasn't being rented out until permanently fixed. The entire area was beautiful and all kind people and business owners.. We will for sure be back in the future.

Let's just say, I never write negative reviews and our family is fine with renting older style, rustic cabins that need a little work. Unfortunately, the cabin we rented was far from clean: cobwebs in the patio, layer of dust/dirt under the futon, floors were filthy, bathroom had a strange odor, and cigarette butts were left by fire pit The icing on the cake was when we spotted a mouse running from the cabinet under the sink to the garbage can. We cut our trip short one day. Granted we left an hour after the check-out time, but no refund was offered! I was very surprised when my husband told me that the response he got was just a little laugh. The view was beautiful though!

The cabin was small but clean and right on the water. It had everything we needed for our short stay. We were close to Mackinaw City and Headlands Dark Sky Park so it was perfect for us.
