About this house rental
Located in St Joseph, this charming house for $380 per night is a great option for your next trip. BR 1 (1st floor): Queen bed BR 2 (2nd floor): Queen bed BR 3 (2nd floor): Queen bed, plus two twin beds Full bath and 1/2 bath are both on the first floor. Full Kitchen with gas range, refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots/pans, silverware, dishes, glasses, a Keurig, and a drip coffee maker. Private backyard, but not completely fenced. The washer and dryer are in an unfinished -- but dry -- basement. It is only accessible from the outside of the house. 65" Large flat-screen television. I have not cut the cord so there is still cable tv service plus fast Xfinity Wi-Fi. Many guests work from the house without issues. Train tracks are located at the end of the backyard, but lots of trees mask it. A popular rental, booked each week in summer for several years. Many upgrades to keep it fresh year after year. NEW FOR 2021: CENTRAL A/C NEW FOR 2022: interior painting, new flooring in full bath. NEW FOR 2023: two new queen mattresses, new carpet on stairs. Painted complete exterior. NEW FOR 2024: All new stainless steel appliances. New washer and dryer in the basement. New roof. Very convenient location -- 1.5 blocks to sand. Easy walk to beach and town. Very clean and comfortable. This is an older cottage but we work to keep it feeling fresh and always clean. (Best crew in town!) Cute old house. It’s very close to the beach downtown. Great communication. I have no hesitation in recommending this location.

House was very comfortable. It had ntetesting both bathrooms on first floor. Loved that kids books available to read to grandson. Beds comfortable. Appliances great. Tv and internet were accessible and easy to use. The only change I would suggest, the neighbors do not park directly behind the driveway. Pretty tricky pulling in and out. Oh, and we actually enjoyed the trains running behind the house.

The property is only 2 short blocks to the beach (can see the beach from the corner the house is on), and an easy walk to the downtown shopping area. Was nicely set up and had plenty of space for our group of 4 adults and 1 child.

We had an overall great stay! The location cannot be beat. We were able to easily walk to and from the beach, which was perfect with my daughter's nap schedule. The wagon you are able to use is such a nice bonus. Yard isn't fenced in so we didn't spend as much time out there as we thought but again, you're literally 4 min from the beach. Check in/out process was seamless and the property manager was very communicative before and during our stay. Kitchen was pretty much fully stocked and people often leave whatever they didn't use. We had 4 adults and 1 baby staying + space felt perfect for a summer lake rental.

We stayed with our family of 8 and thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations as well as the location - just a short walk to the beach (less than 5 minutes). The house was in great shape and the property manager provided all the details we needed to have a fantastic stay. Highly recommend.

The house was so well kitted out and Ken even supplied lots of towels for us because we didn't have any with us from Ireland. He also let us check out later on the day we were leaving because we had a day of rain and he wanted to make sure we had more time to enjoy the beach before we left.
The house is minutes walk away from the beach and the main Street! Would definitely recommend this house.

Fantastic stay! This is our first year getting a home instead of a hotel. We loved it. The house was a perfect, relaxed beach home only steps from the lake. Great amenities, even a beach wagon. We could store our bikes and paddle boards in the backyard. Lots of space! Great shopping and food nearby. We always enjoy Tim Toos Asian grill and the Buck rooftop. Cabanas ice-cream is also a favorite. Michigan sunsets are amazing! Thank you so much to the hosts for sharing their home with others. Our family made wonderful memories. We hope to be back soon!

This was the best stay we could have imagined for our trip to St Joseph. We were traveling via plane and then car with a 2 month old and 2.5 year old, and the location could not be beat. Walking distance to town, a carousel, the splash pad, the beach, a huge playground on the beach - we had such a fabulous stay. The kitchen was equipped with enough for us to make a few meals, and the space allowed for us all to sleep and stay comfortably. There was even beach towels, a wagon, and beach chairs provided which was a huge plus! We already want to come back!

Walking distance to beach and splash pad! Home is very clean and well situated, many small touches that made traveling with small children easier. Host communicates well. A loose step was identified prior to our visit, we were alerted to the issue and a repairman fixed the issue next day without any disruption to our stay. You’d be lucky to spend time in this lovely home.

Charming house down the bluff. Easy walk to silver beach pizza, shops downtown, & short 5 min walk to the beach. Landscaping made the house feel surprisingly secluded. Happily there were no trains running at night to wake us up. Comfortable beds & furnishings made for a lovely stay. Only complaint is no lock on bedroom door.

We had a golf weekend at Harbor Shores and the property was perfect. Walking distance to downtown Saint Joseph and only a 6 minute drive to the course. Everything was fantastic and Ken was responsive and easy to work with. Definitely return when in Saint Joseph!

The property location was great. We only use the downstairs since there was only two of us. We found the floor to need mopping. The out side trees and bushes could use a trimming The microwave needs to be replaced as there is a crack in the glass window. It was well stocked and the bed was comfortable. Overall we did enjoy our stay and it was an easy walk to both the beach and to town.

All together there was 8 of us staying here at this quaint little house. This reminded me is a little cottage in New England. This house was big enough for all eight of us. Two rooms upstairs and one downstairs. The only downside was that both bathrooms were downstairs and needs some touch up here and there, ie a lock between the two upstairs room. This is the second time our family has stayed at this property. We love St. Joseph and this is the perfect location to walk to the beach, restaurants, etc. The house is comfortable and provided everything we needed. Ken is also a great host.

Twice a year we moms escape our families to play games and visit. The property was perfect for our needs with a comfortable, spacious living room area and big dining table perfect for eating AND gaming. The kitchen was very well appointed and the owner was very responsive to multiple questions.

My only comment is that I wish there had been more photos in the ad of how the bedrooms were laid out and locations, so we could have planned sleeping arrangements better. We used the living room for the first look and it was phenomenal <3 Would definitely stay again.
