Located in Oakland, this lovely cabin for $192 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. This adorable 3-bedroom cottage is both rustic and comfortable, nestled in peaceful Oakland on Salmon Lake, part of the Belgrade chain of Lakes. This is a great getaway spot for couples and for families with children. Start your day with a cup of coffee on the screened in porch looking across the clear lake. Enjoy the private dock and float, perfect for sunning, splashing, swimming and fishing. Got a boat? Bring it along and use our mooring Perhaps your favorite part of the day will be watching the beautiful sunset over the calm lake. After dark, join together around the fire pit for a camp fire, sharing laughs, roasting s’mores and listening to the loons. The house has 3 cozy bedrooms. One facing the lake with a queen size bed, another with twin size bunk beds and the final room also features a queen size bed. Relax in the cozy living room, featuring a flat screen TV, vaulted ceiling and skylight windows. Features include a fully functioning kitchen with pass thru window, full-sized refrigerator, a washer and dryer and small bathroom. As well as a screened in porch with outdoor furniture and grill. Enjoy meal time inside or gathered around our large outdoor picnic table. The property is located in Oakland, just a short 10 minute drive into Waterville or 15 minutes to Augusta, where you’ll find many shopping options, wonderful restaurants and entertainment.

Cozy cabin in a beautiful location! Leaves across the lake were colorful and gorgeous. Sipped coffee on dock and enjoyed the view! Cabin was clean and comfortable. Propane fireplace and thick bedding kept us warm on the cool nights. Great place!

Cozy beds, well stocked kitchen, not the greatest shower but did the job. Chad was a super host answering questions quickly and very accommodating. Thank you for a much needed rest in an amazing setting.

Beautiful spot with just what we needed to be comfortable. We are from the area and were traveling for a wedding and visiting family. The three bedrooms were fantastic in giving my teen/tween son and daughter space to relax between activities. The weather was chilly but if you pack appropriately with warm clothes and maybe your favorite blanket be your fine. They had extra blankets available at the cabin as well.
I did have my teen niece and my nephew as well as my 7 year old autistic nephew visit for a few hours following the wedding. We all enjoyed the firepit outside by the lake. We had one incident with the ,7 year old throwing a piece of wood in the lake before we could stop him. That was our fault and we felt bad as no one in our group could reach it to fish it out. That made us worry with all the boats, luckily a kind gentleman came by and when he saw it fished it out for us. I'm not sure he heard back us yell thank you but it tells you how much care people have for the properties and area. It was appreciated.

Amazing Cabin
The property was immaculate and the owner provided us with all the information we needed for a perfect stay. The screened in porch was a great place to view sunsets and the fire pit so much fun…ample hot water for everything. We felt lucky to have found this gem! Thank you!

This was a later in the year than our usual vacation Weeks, so the weather wasn’t as nice as earlier i the summer. This of course was no fault of the owner. Speaking of the owner, Chad, he was very attentive when needed but respected our privacy as well. My husband is a huge fisherman and unfortunately, due to the over fishing caused by Co-Vid, there was a lot of fishing but not much catching. The camp was accurate to pictures.

Great Family place
The cabin was perfect to spend time with our children and grandchild. Great swimming and place to tie up a boat. Chad thought of everything! We were very comfortable. Anything you may have forgot within a 15 minute drive. Saw plenty of wildlife on the lake including eagles, opsrey and loons. We would love to return next year.

Chad was a pleasure to deal with and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The cabin was exceptionally clean and stocked with little touches that made us feel at home. Thank you for making my mom’s birthday so memorable! We couldn’t love our time there more.

Nice cabin!
Enjoyed our stay and the owner was very responsive with any questions. Everything provided and the dock was great for hanging out at the water and tying up my 16' fishing boat. Hope to be back again next year!

Upta Camp Experience
Pictures are accurate, very close to water- enjoyed use of 2 kayaks. Owner was available for questions. Plenty of room. We all had a great time around the fire pit where the owner supplied the wood, which was an unexpected bonus!

Absolutely beautiful
I can’t say enough about Chad’s communication, description of property, and hospitality. The camp/cottage is SPOTLESS first and foremost. It has everything you need, from chairs to sit on the dock, to two coffee makers(keurig and regular). The outside of the property is meticulously maintained with beautiful plantings and a well maintained lawn. I will be renting again hopefully sooner than later.

Great Getaway at the Lake!
This cabin had everything you need for a vacation at the lake. It had the rustic charm of the old-style camps with the convenience of Wi-Fi, TV, and washer/dryer. We loved the Oakland location as it was not far for us to do day trips to the coast and return to a peaceful lake sunset. The lake water was super-clear and warm for swimming. Beds and linens were clean and comfortable, and the kitchen has everything you need to throw a meal together if you choose to cook. Check-in and out was uncomplicated and efficient, and we did not feel invaded by the owners (I prefer privacy on vacation- and Chad did not impose on us in any way). This rental was exactly how I remember camp life growing up in Maine. Bonus Experiences: Loons on the lake, bald eagles, otters, board games at night, kayaking, beautiful sunsets.

Just Perfect!
Chad's property was exactly as advertised....it was a rustic and cozy cabin but it was also fitted out with all the amenities you would want and need for a lake vacation. There were plenty of dishes and cooking utensils and even a Kuerig coffee maker! I wholeheartedly recommend this rental.

We had a great time at Chad's cabin this past weekend. The cabin has everything you need; the lake access was fabulous. My husband took a refreshing dip each morning, we had a wonderful afternoon relaxing on the dock soaking in the Fall sunshine, and enjoyed using the fire pit in the evening. This was Colby Parents weekend and we easily hosted the Rugby team and many of their parents for a late afternoon BBQ. Chad was great - even brought over some extra chairs for the crowd we had. We will definitely be back!
