The hotel was amazing, and the staff were very friendly and helpful from the beginning of our stay until the end. Breakfast was rich and varied, with plenty of options for both adults and children. One of the biggest highlights for families is the huge indoor play area. The kids had a great time with the large inflatable trampoline and other activities, while the parents could sit nearby and enjoy a proper meal. The room itself was spacious and very clean. The hotel is also a great base for exploring Jičín and the surrounding attractions. There is even a hospital nearby, which is reassuring when travelling with children, although hopefully you will never need it.
The family room was large, but it was one open space rather than being divided into separate sleeping areas, so parents and children are all together. The air conditioning worked well most of the time and made the room very pleasant, sometimes even quite cold. However, when it wasn't working properly, the room became hot quite quickly.
There is a public swimming pool directly next to the hotel. The hotel can provide discounted admission and towels, which is convenient, but it is important to understand that the pool is independently operated and not part of the hotel. It has fairly strict rules regarding swimwear and behaviour, so it is worth checking them beforehand. That said, the pool has some nice facilities for children and toddlers, including a slide and whirlpool.

A very modern and clean hotel. The staff was extremely friendly, the rooms clean and spacious, the view marvelous, and the breakfast varied and delicious. We also ate lunch at the hotel's restaurant, which was delicious though a bit expensive. It is a five-minute walk from the center of town. Though the hotel does not have a pool, there is a pool adjacent to it. We spent a wonderful afternoon there.

Hotel reStart has good facilities, including comfortable & clean rooms, great bathroom facilities, excellent breakfast, air-conditioning & parking. It also has a good restaurant. Its great advantage is that it is attached to an indoor swimming pool facility, so you can also have a swimming (though this facility is separate form the hotel, so there is a small charge to get in). It is at the edge of town, so offers access to great nature walks. But this can be a bit of a disadvantage if you're travelling with someone who has reduced mobility - it is further away from center of town than Jicin's other hotel TAMMEL, which is closer.
The furniture in the rooms & room layout is not practical or suitable for the size of the room. Rooms are generally small, which wouldn't be a problem if the layout & furniture were better. For example on the beds the light switches are directly behind a pilow - every time I rolled over I turned on the lights :-). Goodly chunk of floor space is occupied by a rather useless floor lamp, a low hanging light fixture I kept banging my head against, etc.
