Pleasantly surprised with our stay at YWCA

Not the most glamorous of places, but we were pleasantly surprised with our stay here! The staff were very hospitable and friendly and the location is great. Would definitely recommend for a cheap and cheerful stay in Mumbai.

We felt it was a bit odd to pay before we had seen the room, but this does seem to be their policy. Breakfast didn’t really appeal to us but there are lots of other great places to eat in the city.

Alles super außer die Betten

Die Lage ist fussläufig zum Gateway of India und circa 15 Minuten zu Fuß zum Bahnhof Churchgate, von wo aus man sehr günstig mit der Bahn zum Dhobi Ghat, Dharavi und Flughafen fahren kann. Das Essen war immer lecker, morgens kann man sich Eier nach Wunsch zubereiten lassen (Rührei, Omelette etc.). Es war einigermaßen ruhig und die Zimmer bieten viel Platz, wir hatten sogar einen Balkon. Das Personal war freundlich und aufmerksam.

Die Betten waren quasi steinhart. Wenn es bequemere Betten gäbe würde ich 10 Sterne geben, aber so konnte ich leider keine Nacht durchschlafen.

Great staff!

Great location for exploring Colaba and excellent staff (prompt, friendly and welcoming). Breakfast and dinner included was amazing as we enjoyed the food cooked and it helped us save some money too. Room facilities were good and the air conditioning was welcome.

Maybe on arrival, the reception could offer advice and things to do and see in Mumbai e.g. different tours they would recommend.

Very basic facilities which are not too satisfactory

The location

Overall except for cleanliness the facilities are very very basic. Even drinking water had to filled up by us. The AC settings don’t work and the basin in the bathroom was SO SMALL that one cannot even brush in front of it. Food is ok since it is included in room tarrif. They need to level up on many areas. Not been upgraded for ages n ages.

Super good value for money in amazing location

Location couldn’t be beaten. Staff extremely friendly professional and helpful. Dinner provided every night was spectacular and breakfast not bad either. Room was basic but clean. Highly recommend

My partner thought the hot water didn’t last very long but I thought it was ok

Good service....so comfortable and safety to stay..... Healthy and hygienic food..... But taste only not extraordinary but ok. Place also good location nearer too many attractions to walkable distance...

Great location with delicious meals included

Very clean room right in the centre of Colaba, less than a 5 minute walk from major attractions like the Gateway of India and Taj Palace. Staff were super helpful. The breakfast and dinner included were amazing, really tasty homecooked food and big portions for the price. Felt like a very safe place for two female travellers.

The dining room felt a bit sterile/soulless, very white and no music or anything in the background which made it an eerily quiet & awkward place to have dinner (the food was amazing so it was a shame as it ruined the evening meals a little).
