Cozy traditional house, quiet area, close to train station, comfy beds.
The guest welcome process could be improved A LOT. There was no-one to see us in, and no clear instructions in English either. After scanning a QR code to finally communicate with the host via WhatsApp, they started with a canned request for passport numbers etc. despite my having duly provided such in advance as requested by email. All the while, we were stuck in a sweltering hot hallway with no AC desperately trying to figure out how to get the key to our room.

露天風呂も内風呂も、無料で貸し切りができ、しかも源泉かけ流しで新鮮な温泉に入れて大満足であった。
また、布団があたたかく、枕が快適で熟睡できた。熱海駅からタクシーで行ったが、運転手さんはよく場所をわかっていて、７分ほどで到着できたので、楽だった。近くにマックスバリュがあるので、節約旅行をしたい人にもピッタリだと思う。チェックイン時も的確なご指示で、簡潔に終了した。朝、２時間延長したが、１時間あたり2000円。4人で利用したので、お得だと感じた。
デラックスファミリールームに泊まったが、前泊の客のごみが冷蔵庫内に残っていた。冷蔵庫の中を、もっと清潔にしておいてほしい。チェックインがやや複雑だが（無人チェックイン）、１度経験してしまえば、なんてことはない。こうした作業が苦手な人は、ホテルや旅館に泊まった方がよいと思う。個人的には気にならないが、タオルや浴衣、歯ブラシで加算料金を取られたくないと思う人は、その用意をしていくとベター。

Beautiful onsen when the water finally got hot
I booked the stay on the same day and was far away. I couldn’t find any information about the latest checking, which was why I booked it. After I had paid (non refundable). I had to be there before 21.00 or my reservation would be cancelled. So I had to skip my dinner and rush to the hotel.
There was no receptionist, so I had to check myself in and out. We communicated over what’s app, only in Japanese
I had to wait a couple of hours to use the onsen. When it was finally my turn I used 30 minutes to get the bath hot enough
We were allowed to be in there for max. 40 minutes
You had to pay for everything; using the onsen, ropes, towels, getting rid of your trash
There was prices everywhere on the walls
The garden/ view was not super nice
I think it has once been a very nice place, but due to stupid tourists there has to be a lot of rules and payments. It didn’t feel like the Japanese experience I was looking for
