Sympathischer Homestay mit Familienanschluss!

Die Unterkunft ist sauber und die Aussicht ist prima. Die Gastfamilie hat uns sehr umsorgt und auch Ratschläge für Unternehmungen gegeben. Das Essen dort ist auch lecker.

Etwa zwanzig Minuten Fußweg von der Innenstadt, aber es gibt ein Sammeltaxi.

Most comfortable stay ever

The hosts were wonderful people… they made sure to take care of every petty detail… the home cooked food was lip smacking… the view from the homestay was excellent… overall a very very comfortable stay… for all of us it was a home away from home

The host n the hostess, we're truly nice n especially to my daughter. The food was sumptuous, tasty, n like your mom she piled on more food. The conversations were interesting n they made a lively couple host. Very helpful in taxi booking n good rate. As my flight was reschedule, they waited up for us n gave us a hot tasty meal, which started the relationship on a great footing. Thanks a lot for a superb value for money n homely stay. Views of the mountains from the balcony n terrace were superb.

It‘s away from the very noisy street. If the weather had bern clear I would have had a magnificiant mountain view, as it looks into the open valley. Staff is very friendly. Good breakfast!

just make sure you understand how/ when to lock the main entrance and how the hot water for the shower works.

Perfect stay with a lovely family

The host family are extremely friendly and helpful, they make you feel at home and the contact with them is very natural. The bed was very comfortable and more than what I needed to take appropriate rest. I felt very much at home in Anugrah Homestay and I would very much like to return one day.

5 star for the hosts and facilities 4.5 star for location

The homestay is really nice. The hosts are very cordial and receptive. Initially I had reservations regarding staying in a homestay. I stayed alone with no other occupants, and was scared a little bit. But these melted down with the friendliness of the hosts. The location was however an issue as it is around 2 km from Mall road. During my stay it difficult to get shared transport after 7.30 PM. But I went at a time when the G20 thing was going so maybe there was restrictions on transportation. In normal times it won't be that difficult. But its distance from the mall road and the view you get is also a charm.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Pradhan were very nice people. They constantly enquire about our requirements and strive to provide them. Food is very good and sumptuous.

Being a hill station, it's very cold in Darjeeling, more so in winter. Room heater should be provided as part of the package.

The hosts were very welcoming, and made it feel very homely.

The windows didn't close, so the room/bathroom were a little cold. But there was a big duvet and an electric blanket so it was nice and warm in the bed.

A home away from home

This is the second time I was visiting Darjeeling and Anugrah homestay. It truly feels like home with uncle and aunty taking care of all guests 24/7 even when there is 2 dedicated staff to the same. The view of the mighty Kunchenjungha from the balcony is amazing!

Home away from Home!

This place is 'Home away from Home!' This was the first time I booked a homestay for a family of 7 members, and the experience is truly mesmerizing! The moment one enters the homestay, they'll find extremely warm hosts; Pradhanji and Yanki aunty welcoming guests with gleeful faces. The rooms are fresh and clean, as if one is in garden of flowers. Home cooked food. You name it and very humbly all your wishes are fulfilled. Uttam ji and Sandhya ji manage meals, and they ensure to serve you with scrumptious meal of your choice. One can view Mt Kanchenjunga range from their terrace too. If you like to walk, then it's just 30 mins walk to the mall road from the homestay. I did this very comfortably with my 9 and 12 year old boys. Extremely hospitable, warm and loving hosts! This was the best decision I made; booking at Anugrah Homestay and I was truly appreciated by each of my family members including children and senior citizens above 70 years.

Helpful host, courteous staff, good homely food but no fresh air to breath in, very average stay.

The host is courteous and helpful. The staff to manage guests food was very polite and pleasing. A good breakfast of choice was served. The preparation of local vegetarian food was excellent. The lady of the house personally took keen interest in preparation and serving of food. So clean room, quality food and courteous staff are the advantages. The location is close Rani itty stand from where you can reach main town Chaurasta in few minutes in a shared cab.

You are packed like pigeons in a nest in almost all rooms, there is neither room for a fresh air not an exhaust fan. There is absolutely no view to the mountains and town due to an obstructing building. One can have a view as claimed from roof top but owner talks of access but didn’t bother to give. Surprisingly you are are locked from outside at night on ground floor. He opens the door in morning. It’s absolutely a silly idea. The guests should be asked to bolt door themselves. The Budget room has no TV and no leg room.

My Safe Home in Darjeeling

I always fall short of the right words whenever I try to express my feelings for this homestay. All I can say is I felt safer in this homestay than I feel at my place. It is my good fortune that I got the opportunity to meet some of the kindest, wisest and loveliest people on this planet. It is a clean, well-maintained home with all the necessary amenities to stay comfortably in chilly weather like Darjeeling's. You will find some delicious meals, which they will prepare according to your preferences. By staying with the local people, your navigation in Darjeeling is much easier. Uncle, aunty, and all the staffs were just a call away to help you at all times. They will share the Dos and Don'ts and also the off-beaten tracks. Since this is a bit far from the center point, you will find tranquility in that area. It's a 2-3 min walking distance from the homestay to find any transport to reach the center point. You certainly will feel at home fully in this extraordinary place. At the end of the journey, you will not gather wonderful memories of Darjeeling but also make a life-long connection with the gracious people of this homestay.
