About this bed and breakfast
Nestled in Austin, this attractive bed and breakfast for $287 per night is a great option for your next break. This luxury downtown property is ideally suited for one or two people but can sleep 4 guests in two queen beds. Located just two blocks from S. Congress (SoCo) and Lady Bird Lake, it's the perfect place for a weekend getaway or reprieve from a business trip. Walk to arts and entertainment or stay in and enjoy the privacy of the beautiful grounds. The guest house is an open space with 360 square feet and a 15-foot cathedral ceiling with exposed beams. There is a Queen bed on the main level and a queen bed in the loft plus one bathroom. The kitchen has everything you need including, one electric hotplate, microwave/convection oven, coffee pot, tea kettle, toaster, blender, under-counter refrigerator, and outdoor gas grill. The dining table seats four and the outdoor space has three club chairs, one additional chair, and a hammock. The owner lives on site but the outdoor space is separated by a fence. The house was built in 1928 and resembles a European cottage. The guesthouse was constructed in 2006 and recently remodeled in 2021. The property and grounds have been published in various magazines, featured in commercials, and have been open for public outdoor garden tours. Casement windows surround the guest house with beautiful views of the gardens and numerous heritage Live Oak trees. Google fiber is available for high-speed internet access. This property is for the exclusive enjoyment of paying guests only. There is a strict noise ordinance by 10:30 p.m.

Michelle's rental is beautifully decorated and relaxing with great light and a lovely bathroom. The neighborhood is beautiful too.

My husband and I have stayed in some top-notch hotels all over the Austin area and this was by far our favorite trip. Michelle's guest house was in a prime location, within walking distance to South Congress Ave. We walked to brunch, our morning coffee, shopping, and "home" after a dinner and drinks out. It was quaint, quiet and cute. The guest house is tastefully decorated and makes you feel like you're at home, away from home. The patio was beautiful and was surrounded by live oak trees. We only wish we could have stayed longer and are already planning our return. Thanks again Michelle, you were an excellent host!

The stay was just as described. Lovely, quaint, and quiet with a wonderful location and atmosphere. We enjoyed our visit in the guest house. Thoughtfully laid out and designed. Especially loved morning coffee on the patio.

Covid changed our Christmas plans at the last minute - so my husband and and I headed to Austin to be with our daughter. This place was just what we needed. The location is fantastic - short short walk to south Congress with all the shops and food you could want. The outdoor area was a lovely retreat for our souls! Michelle is the perfect hostess. Perfect location, well-designed and immaculate indoor space with amazing outdoor space!
We loved our time here! My husband and I were here for our anniversary. We wanted a quiet and secluded space that was also walking distance the South Congress area and this place was all that and more! The host was very inviting and helpful but gave us all of the privacy we needed. The backyard is a true oasis of relaxation and peace. The owner clearly loves plants and her back yard is a gallery of her work! The house is the perfect size and is really well designed and decorated. It reminded me of our trips to Oaxaca, Mexico and Marta, Texas combined. We grilled out dinner on the outdoor grill at night and enjoyed our days reading in the hammocks by day. Overall, this space was exactly what two, tired and overworked artists really needed... It was inspiring and relaxing!

Perfect getaway
My friend & I loved staying at this property. The guest house was the perfect size and it really almost felt like being in a treehouse. Michelle kept her phone on in case we needed anything and it was lovely to have the backyard to ourselves. We didn’t want to leave!

This place was the perfect little getaway for us for the weekend. Everything was nearby as well yet her house was perfectly secluded. So you get the best of both: city life and quiet relax time in the beautiful patio.

Perfect Escape
Exactly as pictured. Enjoyed the patio and fires at night. Walking distance to SoCo and easy access to pick up Ride Austin around the town. Michelle was very prompt and quick to please. Much appreciated. Will be back!

Exquisite Cosy Stay
We loved the beautiful aesthetic space that Michelle has created and curated! Michelle herself was a gracious responsive host. We felt welcome and cared for during our stay. Great location with walking distance to SoCo district for an eclectic offering boutiques and great places to eat. We look forward to coming back and would definately stay at this little gem again!

Simply Amazing!!
What can I say about this Downtown Guest House that hasn't been said? Even after reading all the positive reviews and seeing all the wonderful pictures, my expectations were exceeded. First off, Michelle is an excellent host. She goes out of her way to provide everything you need to have the most enjoyable time. The location is perfect. There is so much to do within walking distance, as parking in Downtown Austin can be challenging. The house has everything you need to have a comfortable stay. Words cannot describe the amazing backyard that Michelle has constructed. I have never been more comfortable in a place, than I was in this backyard. The positive energy that flows through this area, is undeniable. To say I recommend this Guest House would be an understatement. It's just that good!

Perfect place for a girl trip!
This property was absolutely wonderful and Michelle was fantastic! Everything was beautifully decorated, and we felt very safe and comfortable. We really loved hanging out in the patio in the comfy hammocks and chairs. Highly recommend!

Wonderful, quaint setting near the heart of Austin
My wife and I had a great extended weekend with our accommodations being the centerpiece. The guest house is small, but has a great layout and many conveniences, making it ideal for a couple or group of 3. My favorite part was the back patio which is built around a massive live oak tree and had seats of all types plus two hammocks in constant shade. The style of place is eclectic and quiet and suited us well.
Michelle was a perfect host. She took the time to show us around when we first arrived and then was unobtrusive from there on out. (She would check with us in passing to see if needed anything. )
We loved the place and will likely stay here again on our next trip to Austin.
