About this cottage rental

Situated in Turks and Caicos Islands, this attractive cottage for $149 per night is a great choice for your next break. Come stay on a tropical beach in a charming cottage, only a short walk from Cockburn Town on the lovely peaceful island of Grand Turk. Breathtaking views, a wonderful beach, superb swimming, diving and snorkeling are right outside your front door. The combination of fun, informal restaurants, expert dive shops, friendly locals, and a relaxed pace of living makes a vacation in Grand Turk uniquely appealing. A trip to Grand Turk transports you back to the 'Old Caribbean,' before big hotels, high rises and crowds of tourists. Located right on the beach, enjoy dazzling water views all day, and relax with a drink or dinner while watching beautiful sunsets. The beach has small tidal pools, shade and (usually) gentle waves. No need to worry about 'reserving a beach chair' on Grand Turk. Instead, miles of virtually empty beaches on the western shore offer a tranquility that is hard to find in the modern world. This house is part of Island Passage, which has this cottage, a three bedroom, two bath house (listing number 3628761), and a one bedroom unit that is not available for rental. The open plan cottage has a fully functional kitchenette, a large screened porch with a lounging and dining area, ceiling fans and air conditioning. The fenced in yard protects the landscaping from wandering horses and cows. it is literally a few steps away through your gate to the shade of the Casuarina trees on the beach. You can beachcomb and snorkel in front of the cottage, get picked up by a dive boat for a fantastic experience on Grand Turk's Wall, stroll into town (150 yards away) to wander down Duke Street, or rent a bike or hire a taxi to go a little further afield.

If you are looking to get away from it all, this tiny little bungalow and near empty beach is the place. Most every day I had some 300+ yards of ocean all to myself. Ray and Liz, the full timers who live adjacent were super nice and helpful and made the stay far better than it would've been. Make sure to bring mosquito repellent and grasp that the night life and food options on the island are pretty limited, which makes sense it's a tiny island. That said if you are looking to just get away from it all and actually meet the locals, who like Ray and Liz are super friendly and outgoing, this is your place!

My partner and I had a very relaxing stay here. Both Shannon and Anita were very responsive and helpful. The cottage is centrally located to the dive shops, restaurants and stores so that we were able to largely walked everywhere. We found the kitchen quite well stocked and Shannon’s welcome packet particularly handy. Being able to step straight out onto the ocean was a big plus. We would highly recommend to others looking for a getaway cottage by the water

This was our 2nd trip to Grand Turk and staying in this little cottage. The location cannot be beat. The beach is indescribable, just steps away from the front door. The people are so friendly and willing to help. We explored the entire island, and I mean the ENTIRE island. There are a handful of stores/markets nearby, some restaurants and diners as well. The Osprey is a very short walk and offers a great menu, just plan ahead because 'Island time' is real. The Sandbar is a great little joint, and we were lucky enough to catch Quiz Night. We had pizza from Kitty's, burgers from the Sandbar, seafood from Osprey. The Ridge is exceptional, just make sure to call ahead. The cottage is exactly as described. It's very small and quaint and exactly what we wanted. The outdoor shower is a nice touch. Make sure to shut the main gate or you'll have donkeys visiting for breakfast! The coffee pot didn't work and Anita replaced it immediately. She is very available and willing to help. I do wish there was more comfortable seating, both inside and out, as we spent most of our time on the lovely screened porch, however when the tropical storm hit and everything got wet, there's really no seating inside, (aside from a rattan bench.) Ray is extremely helpful. We learned so much about Grand Turk from him. The cottage a gem and we can't wait to return.

The property was larger than it seemed from the photos. The owners had listened to previous comments and had provided reclining sun loungers and several choices of seats in the veranda area. There were very good quality saucepans and hot plates. The outside shower was very handy. The property was very well located.

This cottage is AWESOME. If you want the perfect place for R&R this is for you. Just perfect for a couple. Watching sunsets are the best. Ray and Liz are great. Watching the tourist from the cruise ships are entertaining. A must place to stay if you are in Grand Turk. Walking distance to anything you need.

Great location on the island for walking to most places... if you don't mind walking. Long beach walks were lovely and very quiet. Water was rough for much of our stay - but that was more because of the time of year. It's a simple studio cottage - as advertised. We had breakfast there but ate out most of our other meals. When not out and about we spent our time in the screened in porch! Went whale watching one day and got to swim with a mom and baby calf - which was quite amazing! Everyone on the island were very friendly - which we loved! You need patience dining out as the service is not fast - but the food is simple and very good. We hope to be back one day!
