Nestled in Chikaming Township, this charming cottage for $485 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Perfect set up for multiple families or friends to vacation together in a single property with two separate fully equipped cottages. You will appreciate the ability to vacation with those close to you while having the privacy of your own space. Each cottage has its own kitchen, living room, full bath as well as two bedrooms each. Sitting on 21/2 wooded acres down a winding private drive off the street you will find plenty of room to park. Being minutes from the beach allows you to enjoy a day in the sun or grab a last minute sunset. we are a walkable distance to everything in downtown Union Pier and three beach accesses. Enjoy everything Harbor Country has to offer in a truly magical location.

We had 9 people (3 families) in the two units and it was perfect! Everything was clean, there were plenty of towels (bath & beach!) and as others have mentioned all the little things put this house over the top! Wine and chocolate covered pretzels from our hosts was so kind and since we planned on mostly eating in - all the kitchen ware and spices (yes!!!) were super helpful. It was the difference between feeling like you were staying in a home vs a hotel.
Everything was really great and we enjoyed our time very much!

We rented both cottages for two families and it worked out perfectly. Both are updated and well appointed with kitchen, laundry room and backyard with two fire pits and a patio. The host left us a lovely bottle of rose and red wine along with a snack. Also, both cottages had a beach bag with towels and a cooler. We would defiantly stay here again.

I traveled with a group of 7 people , and had some doubts with the space and comfortably, but once we arrived, all doubts were lifted.
Pier joy, is a Perfect duplex style setting, as BOTH homes are equipped with: a full kitchen, deck, fire pit, laundry room, living room, bathrooms, showers. Tvs ( with streaming services available), stocked with bored games and reliable internet . It was in a quiet secluded neighborhood, that felt both open (but overall)private.
It is just minutes away from the New Buffalo township , which was perfect for visiting the local brewerys, beaches, restaurants and forest preserves.
The beach was also very accessible, 15-20 drive.
In the down time some of us took the bikes available for a neighborhood stroll .
Each home can comfortably host up to 8 (3 beds in each home plus sofas)

Everything in the cabin was perfect for what we wanted. Quick, adult getaway with friends. We brought a bunch of things we thought we needed, however, this place comes stocked with plenty of cooking spices, utensils etc..

Pier Joy was a cozy and comfortable spot for a friend getaway for the new year. The house has everything you need and is in a perfect location. We were lucky and had mild enough winter weather to walk in Warren Woods state park and spend some time on the beach.

Fall Long Weekend
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property! The hosts were excellent. Communication ahead of arrival was thorough and timely. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches on our arrival (personal note and welcome treat) that made us feel very welcome. The location was beautiful and quiet. We felt secluded, peaceful and private but were still just a quick trip to all that the region has to offer (great restaurants, beaches, parks, breweries, etc.). The home itself was very clean and well decorated. Newer appliances and everything felt very fresh and new. Kitchen and bathroom were well stocked with whatever you would need for a stay, without feeling cluttered. Comfy bed linens and plush towels. We definitely enjoyed the rainfall showerhead!
We came for a long weekend and a football game. Pleasantly surprised by the easy trip to South Bend - not short but a pleasant drive and very manageable. Would definitely recommend this property for anyone looking to extend a football weekend and enjoy some peace along with the excitement of the game.
Our only regret is that we weren't able to stay longer! Highly recommend the property and the hosts!

Through the years we have stayed in many towns and cottages in Harbor Country and this is by far our favorite. All of the amenities and extras made us feel so incredibly welcome and that made us enjoy every minute of our stay. My boys did not want to leave. The place is cozy and spotless. The bed was so comfy; I had the best sleep of my life in years. The shower is well-appointed, too. Finally, the property feels serene and wooded, but still close to everything— eat, drink, shop and explore! Pier Joy!

Through the years we have stayed in many towns and cottages in Harbor Country and this is by far our favorite. All of the amenities and extras made us feel so incredibly welcome and that made us enjoy every minute of our stay. My boys did not want to leave. The place is cozy and spotless. Fabulous- will go again
The home was lovely and well appointed. We really enjoyed the fire circle, with a lovely fire all set up for us. Not only was the property clean and well maintained (inside and out), but the towels and linens were high quality. The area is beautiful; easy to get to the beach, parks, and food. Wonderful all around! We will definitely be back.

Immaculate, updated cottage in beautiful, wooded setting
My family and I had a wonderful stay here. Just a short drive from Wareen Dunes, it was truly a home away from home to return to at the end of each day. The amenities are new and pristine; beds and linens are comfortable and crisp; communication with hosts was clear and inviting; and the outdoor spaces (deck, yard, fire pit area) were perfect for dinners outside, kids running around and s’mores around the fire at night. The hosts went above and beyond with a welcome package when we arrived—treats for both my husband and I and our kids, what a beautiful surprise! We had a perfect stay and look forward to a return in the future.

Relaxing Stay
Very comfortable stay. Large wooded lot behind the property. We mostly stayed in, played games and had campfires every night. We are looking forward to coming back.

Great Getaway!
Lovely cottage in wooded area. The hosts thought of everything you’ll need for your stay. And I mean everything. We forgot our blue tooth speaker to listen to music and they had one there. Nicely updated indoors and out. Looking forward to going back soon!

Perfect cottage and location for mom/daughter weekend
The cottage was so welcoming as soon as we stepped inside. So very comfortable and cozy, very clean and nicely decorated. Adriana and John responded to any emails very quickly and are great hosts. The cottage was a perfect place and location for all we wanted to do. I will definitely return to Pier Joy to continue exploring the area.

My 3 girlfriends and I stayed at the property for a quick getaway. The house was perfect! Great ambiance, plenty of room, super cute and great location. The owners were awesome! Very attentive and very quick to respond in all communications. I would 100% rent again and recommend to my family and friends!
