Fauzia B&B

We had a very pleasant stay at Fauzia B&B. The location is very convenient, with a bus stop close to the property and easy connections to Valletta and other parts of Malta. This made getting around very simple. The breakfast was good, with enough choice to start the day well. The room and the entire property were very clean and well maintained. Everything worked as expected and our stay was comfortable. A special mention should go to the staff, who were very friendly, helpful and always ready to assist with any questions. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and would gladly choose Fauzia B&B again.

The main drawbacks were the lack of a lift, which may be inconvenient if you have heavy luggage or mobility difficulties, and the television, which was a little complicated to use because it required an additional external box. These were relatively minor issues and did not significantly affect our overall positive experience.

Amazing Staff, super nice breakfast and right in front of a bus stop with connections to every spot on Malta that we wanted to visit. The room was very cosy, super clean and it was a pleasure to stay at Fauzia :)

Every amenity in the room was considered. Even the slippers

Nothing

The room was well-equipped with good-working AC, comfortable beds and everything was clean there. The bathroom was excellent. The breakfast was decent.

– The hotel is located in an unsafe area for tourists – there are many suspicious individuals constantly gathering in the nearby square. They approach passer-bys and ask for money, which made us feel very unsafe. – Very poor sound isolation. Any noise from the hallway or other rooms can be heard clearly. In the mornings at around 8 or so, the noise from people talking in the breakfast area was so loud that it was impossible to rest. Additionally, one evening we received a WhatsApp message asking us to keep quiet, when we were just speaking to each other in our usual voice tone that evening. Clearly, the hotel has no acknowledgement in its poor soundproofing and instead is quick to blame the guests, which shows the arrogant mentality of managing. – One of the hotel staff members was extremely rude and arrogant, we felt like he was constantly watching us and not even bothering to say hello at times. At one point, most likely the same person, entered our room without permission and any sort of informing us beforehand (we could have left private or expensive things laying around and not sorted safely for the arrival, so this gesture which we have never seen before in Airbnbs or any hotels left us shocked) and left a note in a tone which seemed like angrily accusing us of damaging a water bottle stored in the minibar very close to the ground surface. The message was talking about how the plastic bottle is “very hard to break” and it seemed like the bottle had been damaged violently, as if we threw it to the wall out of anger or something with that phrasing directed at their guests, when both me and other person staying remember it just falling down from the said close to the ground mini fridge. They immediately demanded 10 euros in compensation. Overall – a very negative experience.
