The host was very kind and welcoming, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious.
Unfortunately, the accommodations were not suitable for someone with allergies.
The furniture and carpets had a strong, musty, old-house smell, and I strongly suspect the presence of dust mites, which triggered a significant allergic reaction. I had to wear a mask just to be able to sleep.
While I truly appreciated the host's kindness and the wonderful breakfast, I would not recommend this property to anyone who suffers from dust mite allergies or is sensitive to dust and musty odors. The property would greatly benefit from deep cleaning and attention to carpets, upholstery, and bedding to make it more comfortable for guests with allergies.

Easy access, ample parking, beautiful chateau, comfortable rooms and bed. Very friendly owner who goes out of his way to make sure your stay is perfect. The history of the chateau is fascinating. Not the least, the breakfast was prepared just for you and worth the price of the stay alone. The price of the is a real bargain. We would, without a doubt stay again.
