The room accommodations were… functional. Don’t expect the world’s most comfortable bed or hottest shower (similar to the rest of Colombia), but this didn’t detract from our experience.

They are just the nicest people, helped us with so much! The hiking tours with them were also amazing :) we absolutely loved it there. You also get plenty of blankets to stay warm during the night :)

The service was very good. Everyone was super helpful, especially in terms of arranging a trek (which is why most people come to El Cocuy). It was all very efficient and seamless. The hostel itself has a very nice common area.
The room was tiny and uncomfortable. The bathroom was tiny and not well-ventilated. The water in the shower only got lukewarm (El Cocuy is cold!). The pillow was hard as a rock. For such an otherwise nice hostel, they could really improve the comfort level of the room. I think a lot of people would be willing to pay slightly more for a better room.
