The location was perfect for getting to the places we wanted to visit. It was accessible by main roads.
The hosts were really friendly and helpful.
The beds were exceptionally comfortable and I loved the fact that the pillows on my bed were stuffed with feathers rather than lumpy foam pads.
The house was quirky and felt really homely.
The kitchen was a little narrow for 3 people at one time and the gas cook was scary because we are used to electric cooking. Having said this, the size and shape of the kitchen was to be expected for this type of house so we didn't mind really!

The cottage was great - not massive but enough space for 5 of us. Fans in each room. Hosts live next door and were very friendly and helpful offering to provide additional fans if needed (it was a heatwave) or anything else we needed which was great. We wanted accommodation so we could spend a few days in Bath but with parking and without paying Bath prices and the cottage was great. Cute front garden and parking for 2 cars if we needed it.
Downstairs bathroom would be improved by a shower screen so you could take a shower standing up. The attic room was fine for a short person but even then I banged my head - it's fine and they make it very clear the headroom is restricted and the access is a very steep staircase / ladder - but they weren't wrong!

Harvel Cottage is fantastic! It is the most beautiful, cosy cottage with all the amenities you could want. The garden back and front are perfect little oasis to have a coffee and relax.
Steve and Kirsty are just wonderful and went above and beyond to help us, communication was brilliant.
I would recommend Harvel cottage to everyone.

The bedrooms were nice, even the upstairs loft space (once you get up the narrow steep stairs).
Living areas downstairs were quite dark and the kitchen is very small. I got bitten by a flea in the downstairs area so although it's a dog friendly place I think they maybe need to clean rugs etc. to ensure flea don't take up residence!
