About this house rental
Nestled in Broadkill Beach, this charming house for $207 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. This apartment provides you with the availability of unlimited activities & adventures that few people are privileged enough to experience. Located on the south end of Broadkill Beach, this spacious two bedroom property faces the sandy beach just a few steps from the front door. To the back of the property is your own private dock for crabbing ,fishing and kayaking . Come stay and enjoy our beautiful suite! This apartment is a 2 bedroom in-law suite on the first floor of our home. The spacious bedrooms feature 2 twin daybed and 1 queen size bed. Each bedroom has access to the back deck with amazing views of the wildlife refuge. The bathroom is equipped with a oversized shower with grab-bars. There is also a small, fully equipped eat-in kitchen. It's a great place for that first cup of coffee in the morning or a sunset dinner! Unlike many beach homes, there are only about 6 steps to walk up to this first floor reteat. We do reside in the property, so Captain Steve is available to share his knowledge of the local fishing & crabbing. Bobbie will certainly assist with any questions about some of the best local restaurants and activities, including her favorite spa. If you have any questions, please let us know! Check-in time is 3 pm EST and check-out time 11 am EST.

If you’re looking for a no-frill, restful beach vacation this is the spot! Well stocked kitchen, comfortable bed, clean bathroom, lovely screened in porch and the beach is across the street over the dune! Steve and Bobbi are terrific hosts. The towns, closes by, are all worth exploring. Hope to return next September.

Steve and Bobbi's place was everything we needed/wanted.
If you know Broadkill Beach, you already know that the location is fabulous, down toward the southern end of S. Bayshore Drive — so quiet, so peaceful, and so full of natural beauty. Steve and Bobbi's place is on the canal side with ultra-easy access to the bay (90-second walk across the street), where they've got three beach umbrellas planted in the sand, a great landmark for finding your way home when you're swimming.
The two bedrooms overlook the canal and are separated from the kitchen and BA by a winding hallway, so people trying to sleep don't hear noise from kitchen or BA.
I could say more, but I'll just cut to the chase: The only reason NOT to stay here is if you don't want to be at Broadkill Beach.

Great place to spend a few days if you want to get away from crowds, traffic, and commercial/developed areas. Bring groceries and enjoy easy meal-prep in the well-supplied kitchen. The place was spacious (for the two of us) and immaculately clean. The deck out back offered hours of quiet solitude overlooking the vast green marsh preserve with sounds of nature. The sound of the ocean (technically the Bay) beckoned right out the front door and we had the beach to ourselves almost (until the weekend). Beach Plum Island nature preserve is right down the street. Breathtaking views of the marsh wilderness and bay shore the way nature is meant to be. We will go back as soon as possible!

We had a great few days. This home is in the perfect spot to enjoy the beach just a few steps away and to just sit back and relax and have dinner in the screened in porch and watch all the birds in the wildlife refuge out back. The house was clean, well stocked with everything you think you might need and the owners were very friendly and kind. We look forward to coming back here again!! This was a fantastic place to stay! With the wildlife refuge behind and the beach across the street, we were in our dream stay! The apartment was stocked with every need and then some. The beach was quiet and inviting. We enjoyed every minute and wished we could have stayed longer. I think we’ll be back!

My son and I came for 2 nights to fish and explore a new area. It was rainy and windy but perfect for fishing, according to my son. He caught his first flounder, a 27 inch striper, a few spot and a bunch of perch. Everything was spotless and there was so much available in the apartment that we packed really lightly compared to staying anywhere else I’ve been. Beds were comfortable and it easily sleeps 4. All towels and linens except beach towels were provided, lots of soaps and lotions, after sun care and drawers with everything you could think of. They even brought my son a rain coat. The kitchen has a bunch of spices, oils, coffee, tea, sweeteners, and all kitchen supplies. The family who own the house was very friendly. They gave us tips for fishing in a canal, showed us how everything worked, shared bait and my son was able to meet and fish with their grandson who is the same age as my son. The area is beautiful and peaceful and we loved watching the wildlife from the back deck/porch and docks. We would stay again!

Well appointed apartment with decks to view a mating pair of osprey in the salt marsh. Quiet save for the host’s young family members running about upstairs— oh well. Billy and Steve were not expecting so many showing up for Easter family time! Note: Always bring the following to any rental— ear plugs and sleep mask. We had a lovely stay. Many little surprises like a well appointed kitchen, being surrounded by a wildlife refuge yet groceries are 15 minutes away. There is a private walkway to the beach, and a bit of bay view and lighthouse light from the kitchen window. Enjoy.

Staying at this VRBO property was an absolute dream! From start to finish, the experience was seamless and enjoyable. The communication with the owner was excellent, and they were very responsive to any questions we had before and during our stay. Bobbie and Steve are delightful.

A friend referred us after staying over the summer. She was absolutely right, we loved it. The unit was extremely clean and comfortable for myself, husband and 5 year old. Steve and Bobbie were wonderful hosts. We woke to views of Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge (as birders, it doesn't get better than that) and walked right to the bayside beach to look for more birds (piping plover!), look for treasures, and play in the waves. We were close enough to Lewes and Rehoboth for more adventures. Next time we would like to stay longer so we can really relax on the back porch and do some fishing.

Steve and Bobby are excellent hosts, friendly and accommodating. The house is perfectly suited to four people. It is well-equipped -- perhaps the best kitchen I've ever seen in a rental. The house has excellent views to the west, includes access to a dock and is a short and direct walk to the beach. It's about 15 minutes from a Food Lion and other necessities. Great escape! Thank you.

This was a perfect place for my husband and I to stay - quite bay beaches and friendly neighborhood. Hosts were very nice. Lovely to sit on the back deck by the inlet - beautiful environment and sunsets.
