Great!

We appreciated the beautifully renovated home, in a quiet location close to Gull Lake, yet within easy walking distance of good local restaurants and summer theatre in the centre of Gravenhurst.

Not satisfied at all

The cleanliness was ok...enough towel and blankets were available

We were told her accommodation was not for romantic nights...I went with my partner and she sent a rude message via e mail about our private nights and how it was supposed to be ended. We asked her the duration of serving breakfast which was at 9 am in the morning. She was on time for serving breakfast but we were not on time which we let her know and we didn't complain about the food being cold but because we weren't on time she acted on us by not greeting us eventhough we greeted her with no response and giving us attitude. Overall experience at this place was not satisfying at all....anyone who visits her place must not have romantice nights...can not be late at the table therefore she will show her attitude towards the customer.

Fantastic location near to Muskoka lake

Everything. Very clean, very close to the lake, with a small wood immediately behind the property. Lovely quiet location, approximately 20 minutes walk from the restaurants and shops on the bay. The breakfast selection was excellent, a great start to your day, and the hot tub was a welcome end to it.

We were there four nights and would not look anywhere else if we venture back to Gravenhurst.

Very quiet and peaceful, the breakfast was wonderful and delicious. The host was thoughtful and courteous and great to talk to.

The place is very quaint, well kept and clean. The location is central and it was easy to navigate to other parts of Muskoka. The hostess, Susan, was very helpful in terms of explaining how to use the amenities, serving us delicious breakfast and suggesting things to do.

great location on the lake and park, close to the center.

I booked this wonderfull B&B in Germany to go to the Tall Pines Festival. I am so happy to found this place. Susan is so welcoming and I immediately felt welcome. My friends, who arrived later, were also thrilled with this beautiful B&B. Thank you Susan for the beautiful days, I will always remember them. A delightful surprise and a happy mini-vacation!

Adorable bunkie with everything we needed to make us comfortable for our 2 night stay. Clean room, comfortable bed and good quality linens. Outdoor shower was perfect. Breakfast was more than generous with a wide variety of choices, all homemade! Our hostess was gracious and accommodating. Looking forward to staying again!

Excellent stay & would highly recommend.

Lovely accommodation & location excellent.

Would vary the breakfast more - we had yogurt, granola, fruit parfait & breakfast sandwich both mornings. May be better to offer another type of breakfast on second day.

I recommend this B&B without hesitation. It was excellent.

Breakfast was not what we usually eat, but presentation and quality of meal was excellent. Owner was generous by letting us use their hot tub. Gardens were well maintained and beautifully designed. Owner encouraged us to visit local attractions. We felt very private. Renovations in the property were magnificent.

My husband had a good sleep on the mattress, but I have back problems and would have liked a firmer mattress. That was the only think I didn't like because I found it difficult to sleep, but most people wouldn't have had this problem.

Susan was a great host. Premises were spotless and breakfasts were wonderful. Location provides excellent access to the beach and park, but you'll need a car to access most places in the centre of Gravenhurst. There's a big backyard if you want to relax there.

Our only complaint was that the bathroom was not actually contained within the suite, but it was private enough since it was right outside the door and there was a screen for privacy from the breakfast room.

A great base to visit the lovely Muskoka Lakes area

Breakfast was yummy. Lovely fruit, yoghurt and musesli followed by delicious bagels and cake. Susan was a very gracious host and we enjoyed a warm welcome and lots of useful tips on the local area. The bed was very comfortable and the facilities were spotlessly clean.

immaculate property. many interesting decorations and tastefully done. breakfast service was delicious and well presented.

I found the bed a bit soft but I am used to a firm Endy mattress but I slept ok anyways!

Awesome!

Susan was a great host. She has suggestions on what to see and where to eat. Our sleeping cabin was super cute. The outdoor shower was a first for me and it was great! The breakfast was AMAZING! better than at any brunch place.

We will not use this facility again, too overrated and is not worth it

The dog was so cute

The fact that we were given a very tiny compact place to sleep where as we were promised 2 queen size beds and have it confirmed in writing!!! We brought stuff for bbq but we’re not given the chance to use it because the lady said it was too much for her to clean it. Why lure people into something that is not available? Did not meet our minimum expectations.

Susan and Jeff were very kind and inviting, as well as very lovely to talk to. Susan made extremely good breakfast both mornings of our stay. Everything was very clean and the stay was so peaceful and relaxing. I haven’t stayed in a b&b before but this was definitely an great first experience. Highly recommend it ! And I hope to stay again maybe next year.

Great GetAway

Such a unique and relaxing place to stay. Our host, Susan is fun-tastic. She provided top quality and delicious breakfasts. The decor is tasteful, even eating outside in the gazebo. Her and Jeff have done a great job in providing such a pleasant atmosphere in their home, yard, and haven/kingdom for their loveable Bichon Tuck. If you like close quarters, the cabin style accomodations are for you. Certainly was for us, and the outdoor shower is heavenly looking up to the sky. Great location, accommodations and food, Susan and Jeff's hospitality and friendliness all terrific and Tuck who pulls the love out of you. We will be staying again, and in the cabin.

Loved the area, had a beautiful park and lake directly behind or cabin. Owners were very kind and made you feel very welcomed. Awesome breakfasts served in the morning, overall would rate this place as a 5 star.

Just amazing!

This B&B is exceptional! The owner went out of her way to ensure my stay was extra special. I inquired about a nice restaurant for dinner and she offered one right on the water that was amazing. She even booked the reservation for me and texted me all the information while I was working. Such a nice touch and very much appreciated. My room was beautiful and extremely clean. A wonderful experience that I highly recommend! I hope to return again soon. BTW, her breakfasts are truly incredible!

Susan made a lovely filling breakfast both days. We really enjoyed it and the company of her friendly dog; Tuck.

The only thing I would have loved more if if there was a coffee machine out in the main area but overall, we loved it all and would return.

Uncomfortable.

Beautiful backyard but not able to enjoy it because the host was very unwelcoming and made us feel like we were imposing on her space. Breakfast was delicious.

No warm.and fuzzies

Bed was very comfy, and warm...thankfully.. Soft with big pillows tons of blankets.. Bed is huge...decorated beautifully too Breakfast was sublime...different each day.. .but she didn't stick to her notes about what my husband liked or not liked when we first arrived .he never got the fried eggs he requested. She also made him a vegan smoothie out of the blue one morning and proceeded to try to sell us the package.. He took two sips then left it ( he d had cancer and was still having issues eating certain foods and keeping weight on he d lost). We also had a mini fridge in our bedroom with water and glasses, robes to wear if we wanted.....bonus. She also had a large arrangement of pamphlets, cards etc by the front door for when we went out sightseeing..great overview of the area.... had our own key as well to the house and our room..

Could unfortunately hear our hosts walking upstairs during the night above us...creaky floor... The room was cold in the night because of the air conditioner window had leaks... Bathroom tub was very small...could not have a bath in it...I'm 5 '9..with long legs.. Couldn't even kneel well to wash hair, tap was too close to edge of tub. Did have bars in it on the wall, but not suitable for any senior who has had a knee or hip replacement... sides were too high. Both my husband 66, and myself 52 had issues lifting our legs out. Neither of us have had orthopedic surgery.. bathmat inside was precarious to use.. There was nowhere to sit in the evening besides our bedroom.. We had a dining room to ourselves due to covid ( didn't feel comfy using it n the evening),but nowhere to sit to watch TV, read etc... King room garden suite.

Highly recommended for a romantic gateway!

My husband and I had an awesome stay at the 490 B&B. We loved our cozy cabin, the territory and location of this property. My personal favourites were the hot outdoor shower and high quality breakfast provided by the lovely and very friendly hostess Susan. I absolutely loved taking a hot shower when it was +8C, with a sky full of stars above your head, with the hot steam coming out. So romantic! The territory is exceptionally well taken care of by Susan and her husband. The cabin was small but very clean, with a very comfy bed. There is also a TV inside with Netflix and wireless internet everywhere. More than enough when you are staying on the lake and spend most of the time outdoors anyway. Location was great as it was right in the town of Gravenhurst, but essentially lakefront as there was a big park behind with the lake and tall mature trees. Beautiful place! Would love to come back one day.
