About this cottage rental
We welcome you to stay in one of our new boutique cottages that were constructed in the 1920's Craftsman style. A style that was so evident in early Solvang homes. The style, quality workmanship, and being beautifully appointed with antiques from the Santa Ynez Valley makes the cottages distinctive and one of a kind. There are 4 cottages--each with a private porch or patio, fully equipped kitchen, queen sofa bed in living area, tiled shower, and granite countertops. Two of the cottages are wheelchair accessible and one cottage meets ADA standards. Located in the quaint town of Solvang and within walking distance of many eateries, wine tasting rooms, bakeries, and boutiques makes staying at the cottages convenient and carefree. Golf, horseback riding, hiking, and biking are just minutes away. Our parking is private and easy to access enabling one to easily visit the Santa Ynez Valley, known for its pastural scenes and world renown wine tasting.

Location is 3 blocks off the main street so it's quiet, yet distance to downtown is easily walkable unless you have a mobility issue. The plastic fence detracts from the charm, but the generous shaded porch is great. The remote for the ceiling fan was missing and management was unhelpful about locating it. The AC cycling was not ideal because it cycled between too warm and too cold. That's typical, but for this price I expected a better quality of AC. The bedroom tended to be 5 degrees warmer than the living room, but the bathroom was awesome with a roomy shower, fast hot water, good pressure and a spacious counter for personal supplies.

It was wonderful to be right in town and able to walk everywhere. The cottage was very nice and comfortable. We loved sitting on the porch when warm enough.

Location was perfect. Just far enough away for peace and quiet and a 1 minute walk to all the shopping and food. Host was amazing, welcome card, cookies and the cottage more than we expected.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Orchid #4. It is clean and new, with a spacious porch, roomy kitchen/family room and luxurious bedroom. The location is exactly what we wanted, walking distance to all of Solvang. Communication with owner was excellent, everything was as expected.
