We very much enjoyed this uniquely German themed building it's smallish size but considering most of the time we were out in about to come home to a little kitchen prepare a simple meal sit back catch up on the news before heading up the stairs to relax in a very quiet room was wonderful.
The breakfast was delicious the granola amazing the sourdough delicious the fresh eggs next level and the jam was beautiful.
Speaking of breakfast don't forget you need to feed the wildlife which will be waiting at the door hanging off the windows looking inside to see you are awake.
If you want to check out birds and other wildlife the island is full of them and they starts from the front door with kookaburras kangaroos and koalas just outside if you're lucky enough to see them wander on by.
Our host allowed us to just do our thing and when we finally caught up it was lovely to spend some time talking about the property and it's history no rush just a good old chat.
The bathroom wallet was a little tight the shower was amazing and that's all you needed really a place to rest to place to eat and a place to prepare yourself for each day and we spend three wonderful nights in this quaint little cottage.
That we had to come home back to the world but we are better for knowing that we have been there done that and suggest if you want to do something different try it as long as you can negotiate fairly steep stairs.

The location and access to kyacks, walking and bike riding. Bed comfortable and we were able to cook easily. Kirsten showed us around and we loved how clean and neat the property was. The furniture and fittings were true to the style of the property and our stay was a true slice of paradise.
There wasn't anything we didn't like.
